I think Rob has a valid point and although I didn’t used to agree with a lot of his veiws I thought his posts and replys on threads were always well informed and well reasoned and the forum is a poorer place without contributers like this.

I think people are taking this a little bit too seriously 
it is a forum, meant for enjoyment, just the same as television, if you use trucknet the same way as you use television you can get the same benefits 
If you change channels on your TV and a programme you do not like is on, do you continue to watch it and then write/email the TV company complaining about it 
The answer is probably no, you switch channels, or if you can’t find anything you like you turn it off and go on the internet, possibly on trucknetuk.
So if you go on trucknetuk and look through the forums and find nothing of interest, why not apply the same technique, turn the computer off and go and watch the television
The admin team and the moderators do not influence who posts what (except from the naughty boys on premod) so if you’re not happy with the stuff you read on here, how about posting something interesting yourself, instead of whining and ■■■■■■■■ about the posts from people who do actually hit the keyboard
I may moderate the expat forum, but anyone who reads my posts on any of the forums knows that I do not ■■■■ up to the admin team, in fact I was chosen to moderate the expat forum as a punishment, instead of premodding me, the [zb]ards have made me behave by giving me responsibility 
but a spade is still a spade in my book, but I will go with Rikki on this one, nobody forces anyone to post/read on here, if you don’t like it, wtf do you come on here for

All the big mouths who’ve been on pre mod,got involved in prolonged arguments, almost banned etc. know exactly what the site needs and how it should be run eh? !!! And i never see these same people participating on other forums where the rules are more relaxed and you are only constrained by ‘peer pressure’ ? Rikki’s far too soft on some of you, i’d just pull your plug. No stick to the rules then no playing in the playground. And lets face it, thats exactly what some are just big kids. Can’t be doing with whingers and thats what most of this thread is about/from.

I have to admit that a lot of the people that, in my opinion, were entertaining posters, have stopped using the forums. Some of them were controversial, some were funny, some were knowledgable and some were called Rob K:lol:
The UK forum in particular is quite often a waste of time, some of the questions asked and the opinions expressed leave me shaking my head in disbelief. It’s kind of the same way the magazines went, TRUCK is often heralded as the best magazine of the lot, yet the dumbed down ‘comic’ version of it, namely T&D, kicked its arse.
The ‘old school’ trucknet members are far outnumbered by the new members, if Rikki’s numbers are to be believed, so it stands to reason that the site will change to suit the majority, as they’re the ones who are making all the posts and asking all the questions.
So it’s simple really, if you don’t like what you see, get involved, post something and steer the forum in the direction you would like to see it go.
If all you’re going to do is complain about things and do nothing to change them yourself, it’s like moaning about the government when you never voted.

Its mad here tonight !! You’re right !! Just click on the user name of any of the whingers and then search their posts and all you’ll see is derogatory remarks from them (don’t check mine for christs sake !!!). Thne all the experts who reckon we don’t need a DCPC as they’re so clever just check theirs, you’ll find not one helpful reply to any newbie, thats how ‘the knowledge just gets passed down’ they are !!! Couldn’t make them up. Just like them ex pats who get off and then tell you how things should be done !!!

Thanks Newmercman that did help and make alot of sense, problem is rikki gets peoples back up with his comments to bugger off , this is the feed back forum , saying bugger off doesnt help does it.
