I am eye balling a Honda CG 125… or some newer honda 125… atm.
Was speaking to a lad at work. some of these little lawn mower engines can hit 200mpg… with a top speed of 60mph.
Me like that.
Think 200mpg is pushing it a bit, on the Honda forums they reckon the newer CBF125s do about 160mpg. My CBF125 is a 13 plate and does about 100mpg, as does my NC50.

Well yours looks like a 2010 ish plate. The new ones have gone through significant revisions. Lost even more weight does not even use a starter motor. apparently the alternator starts it.
CBF (a new one) is on my last of maybe bikes. they are great bulletproof bikes the only downsides is they are prone to rust and the panels clips are made of paper.
It’s amazing how much heavier the CBF125 is than the 125s I used to ride in the late 1970s/early 1980s.
And yes, the quality of Indian-built Hondas is nowhere near as good as the Japanese-built ones were. I think the CBF is made in Pakistan now.

I have a toyota corolla 1999.
(the pics are not of my exact car just ones I found on the net).
I kinda like it. It’s reliable and very simple to work on. It does like like a PoS though.
For comparison’s sake, I hope you’re matching up at least on the Car make and model, and possibly the colour and registration year as well?
If that’s the case, here’s a picture of my own car…
Oh bugger. Didn’t notice how long ago OP was…

Good choice. Handy little things those 125s. I used to have a Yamaha YBR125 for commuting. Bought it cheap accident damaged. Put a new front end on it, did about 3000 miles on it and never lost any money when I flogged it.
Always seemed to hold their value well 125s.

Oh I sold my Toyota… With deep regret. ■■■■■■■ reliable ■■■■■■■■■■■■■ lol. I mean nothing at all wrong with it but just had to sell it. Two car drive so limited space and my dad got a new car and he offered to give me a 62 plate Skoda Citigo…
here is the pic of my toyota… I did actually put a new clutch in it… Not that I had to it prob would of lasted another 10k miles easily. But I take care of my cars for the most part.
I picked up my first Corella last year, and have just put it through the MOT needing a new brake cylinder, the old one clearly leaking.
I’m surprised at how nippy it is, 'cuse the pun and all, but I’m somewhat disappointed by the “regular” fuel consumption, still getting 300 miles per tank out of it, rather than the anticipated 400-500 mark like my previous 1.6l cars managed.
I used to stick to 2l cars, but the need for fuel economy now has me going for 1.6l these past years since the lockdown.
2nd hand old bangers - seem to have rallied to an all-time high price these days, and all…
5 years ago, I could buy a 15 year old banger for £500
These days, I can buy a 20 year old banger for £1500. Go figure!
Also, I’ve yet to ever sell a car in my life, as I buy them, and run them into the ground, what with the decent rates for scrappage these days.
Yea running them into the ground is a good bet. Always good to have a friendly MOT tester as well that is not gonna fail a car over a tiny bit of rust
Yea used car prices are ■■■■■■■ nuts man.
I mean all I want right now is a cheap £500 honda bike or Yamaha and you can not find one anymore… I am not talking about a nice one either… I am talking about a rusted piece of crap that you can work on as a project… they are all £1000+ it is crazy.

You can tell a lot about a guy by the car he drives .
Last time I saw a car like that, Big Ears was in the passenger seat.
My ‘whip’ that I regret selling last year.
There is still no motorcycle in the World cooler than my Honda Express.

Hard not to agree. It’s definitely up there with Ducatis on the cool wall.

When I bought it, I thought I would be a bit of an object of ridicule amongst “proper bikers” but curiously, the people most fascinated by it are grizzled, bearded Hells Angels types who normally say things like “Ooh, my Mum used to have one of those”.
Riding through the village the other day a biker on a CB750 coming in the opposite direction pointed at it and gave me a “thumbs-up”.
Well I currently have a motorbike like this (trying sell lol)
I probably do about the same about of distance that you do on that little Honda. Got it with plans to use it but just never got round to it lol.
