I’m mostly English with a tiny bit of Irish and if it had been even remotely close to what was shown at the end of the film I know which side I’d have been on.The fact that it would have been the winning side at that time and I’d have been long gone before the Red Coats came back centuries later to get me for treason would have just been a bonus.

I would say your right Scotland is a lot more peaceful than northern ireland but that still doesn’t mean that it will be peaceful something will probably happen over here

That’s all the more reason why the English need to see the so called ‘union’ for the divisive destabilising thing it really is and has always been and knock the project on the head by dissolving it ourselves from where it all started and where it’s based.The fact is that would remove any point in the continuation of any loyalist cause in the non English parts of the British Isles.IE the loyalist issue in Scotland and Ireland etc,and the bitterness it has historically created,can only exist so long as the English allow it to exist by trying to hold on to what is and always was just a ‘union’ in name.
The Sectarian thing is for the most part confined to the West of Scotland.I grew up in Dundee and was hardly aware of the attitudes that existed 50 miles away.

Glasgow has it’s fair share of knuckle draggers, there is no disputing that, but, in my experience, the vast majority care not a hoot which religion ( ) you are. As for walking into a particular pub with the wrong colours on, you’ll find that works from both sides of the knuckle dragger divide, not that it’s an excuse, but if you frequent these ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ you’re part of the problem. Now the football side of things, I feel some sympathy towards both Celtic and Rangers football clubs, over the years they have tried to distance themselves from these morons, unfortunately some people are intent on living in the past and can’t let the hatred go. These people have NOTHING to do with football.
Fortunately it’s about the entire nation making a choice, not just the cavemen.
