its just a lorry with a ■■■■■■■ engine , ERF had sold all theirs so it’s a 2nd best compromise,and a restoration that works most days as near to perfect as I could in the time .

I’d think low axle in overdrive be no use , direct gear in hi axle would give same engine revs and same road speed but with more torque than overdrive would in low axle .

I admire your keen sense of humour Larry but Fodens were like Marmite you either loved them or hated them and I was in the latter category, fortunately, but then again “one man’s meat is another man"s poison” but as we would both agree “you pays your money and takes your choice” eh! You’ve got my mouth watering Larry, Anne and I are partial to having the occasional snack of Anchovy’s, Sun Dried Toms and Olives plus some slices of French rolls to soak up the Olive oil and a nice Chardonnay to wash it down eh! Oh! and is your salmon “poached” or legal ? it tastes better “poached” ! Don’t worry I’ll never “grass” you up but I am jealous all the same ! Cheers Dennis.

Dennis, Now would I do anything illegal,Im as straight as a dye when it comes to doing everything to the book, , The salmon was from M&S, only the best for True Foden Men Eh, Ive just finished my evening meal, Fillet steak, Crevets Ratatoule, & new potatos, Washed down with Rioja, Im now having a Glenmorangie, & a King Edward duty free cigar, Not bad for a hard up retired haulage man, ,Regards Larry.
