Maybe i’m wrong, and i’m not being critical, but on Ebay it’s priced at 80k, is that not a bit steep?

Maybe he’s trying to recoup the £10,000 conversion costs. It does seem a bit steep though.
which is why he didnt sell it through commercial motor then. Also i second hand daf is a second hand daf people arent going to pay that sort of money for that motor. if it was me me i would rather buy a new daf ssc than a second hand one.

One thing we agree on then! He hasn’t got a hope in hell of getting that for it. Be surprised if he gets 50k for it. And what happened to the wheels it had on at Truckfest? It looks a complete dog without them now, even though it says in the ad that it has them on the steers and drive.

Wo wow wow, Rob K you just said it looked crap without the alloy wheels, I thought you was dead against this type of thing and especially with owner drivers.

Not against owner drivers and not against smart motors either. I’m against owner drivers who “work” for companies that pay peanuts because they can’t be arsed looking for decent paying work (read: it’s virtually non-existant now) and don’t like men that spoil what was pretty much a good truck by covering it in tat. The original exterior pic of the “XXF” was rather tastefully done (although it needs to lose the spotlights and roof beacon bar) and the wheels looked smart - however, that was where the good stuff ended.
Rob k, i’m fed up with yr allegations of running bent and for a quid a mile but now you’ve really overstepped the mark! Who the hell do you think you are and what gives you the right to talk about peoples lives? Obviously you think you’re something special, well i don’t!
How dare you accuse me of of being in agreement with you!

From what the date says on the pics on the ebay add, they were taken in October 2006 (no doubt just after conversion), so they might not have had the wheels yet.
Cheers
New Blood
Now im not picking holes in the truck but if hes selling it does that mean the speed limiter has been connected at last??
By the way, the midlift wheel in the pic is a wheeltrim not a proper alloy wheel like the front and back, just an observation.
I notice no bids yet but a week to go.
Seeing as there’s a real Scania Long Line 620 in RHD for sale not far from here, with every flashy bit you could imagine fitted both inside and out, I think i’d pass on this, tho it is a nice looking truck.
Mind you the Scania is reputedly a leeedle bit more expensive than the Daf…
is it an ex romantiek scania by any chance?
I thought that had been confiscated and was going thru the crusher?
MR VAIN:

now your getting confused, i thought it was your wallet that had been
confiscated, seems like it anyhow
MR VAIN:

Yes it’s ex Romantiek, but they had two or three and one survives, for sale now…
no figures quoted but rumour has it that if you double the going price for the daf and you’re close…
robv8:
That 660 Scania is owned by the same bloke that has the stretched Daf. The Scania will be chiped, but has a long way to go to beat this Scania, pushing out 750 BHP
Also heard that Sandy Kydds 580s are uprated to 720 BHP
This truck is owned by company i work for, does the continent and its up around 700 +. Drove it once, its wild to say the least…
Nice truck.
