JJ,
Elricks Transport is a small (possibly owner driver) outfit based in Arbroath, Scotland. The Scania has won loads of show prizes closer to home. Don’t know where they run to tho’, presumably abroad.

I saw it on the M5 on Thursday,Shame about the MDF interior :open_mouth: :unamused:
I prefer the Scania Longline, there is a brown and Gold one on the containers out of Felixstowe I think

There are two - one is the black & gold one - see here:

That 660 Scania is owned by the same bloke that has the stretched Daf. The Scania will be chiped, but has a long way to go to beat this Scania, pushing out 750 BHP

Also heard that Sandy Kydds 580s are uprated to 720 BHP

Some pics on Euro Wheels - here’s one:

And inside.

Bit off topic but did anyone attend Great Eccleston Tractor Pulling this weekend?

KW:
According to the June edition of Truckstar magazine, the DAF is owned by Richard Rollinson from Sandy,Beds. who drives with his wife.
It cost them £10,000 to have it stretched,it was done in the UK,but the article doesn’t say by whom.

Inside is a double bed,and the bed has been raised to accomodate a fridge and freezer,as well as a 75l water tank for the wash basin.
The top bed has been removed and cupboards will be fitted in their place.

His first choice was a Scania Longline, but they had all been sold.

It was streached after being smashed up by some chav gits & written off…
The job was done by a firm in Attleborough, Norfolk they apparently still have all the kit to do it again.
The blonde driving it is Mr Rollinsons wife they double-man it to Scotland quite a bit…
How do i know■■?
It was in Truck & Driver a couple of months ago…

They were delivering in our yard last week.

I had a look inside…it’s massive.

They told me they don’t have too many problems with trailers and it’s been stretched by about 2 foot I think (from memory).

Nice people too.

that was reviewed in june t and d there based in bedford if i remerbered correctly. an 03 plate before private plate and it was some private conversion company.

Full set of pics here. It’s based out of Alconbury, tho’ the owners live in Sandy, Beds.

Does no one in this posting read “truck & driver”■■ :unamused: Sept 2007 issue gives a full 3 pages to this truck. Its owned by Feelgood transport in Bedfordshire and its double manned, excuse me its “double personed” as its a man and his partner driving it. It was built by AIRFLOW in norfolk it cost him over 18 grand to convert and its not finished inside yet!! I have to say i fell in love with the concept and i’m considering doin a version 2 FH like this. I reckon i could do it alot cheaper! gonna have to do alot of measurements but i think it should be possible. It would have to be a 6x2 as you need the longer wheelbase 4.1m, i don’t think it would be possible with a 3.8m. Does any1 have any thoughts or ideas for me? :open_mouth:

There’s a chap running out of Norfolk with a black left ■■■■■■ Scania which supposed to be 700 +, you’ll often see it on the newmarket bypass with round timber on.

Dont know the bloke but heard through the wires as it were

euromat:
[

im sure they were converted in norfolk, wasnt the compant called cab design airflow?

im certain i have a couple of piccys at home, ill have a root about when i get back

I think the original Airflow went bust, they used to do a lot of cab top pods and wind deflectors and the like. A lot of they’re kit was brought by some people called Myhill at foulsham between Norwich and Fakenham. They added doing globetrotter conversions to standard F10/12’s and high roof conversions to series 2/3 Scanias, a mate more of mine had an F12 conversion about 15 or 16 years ago by them.
I’m not sure if the Aiflow mane has been resurected, but the company me bruv works for brought side skirts for theyre new Globetrotter from a company in Attleborough. Instead of Volvo, when they found out how much Volvo charge.

Eddie, yr thinking of Stuart Crawford with the black topline. 710 hp i believe. Really nice bloke. Steady too.
