Saw this the other week, and got blown off the road by it the other day, obviously a big cab like that makes you exempt from a speed limiter
Nice looking motor thou, on a private plate, right hand drive. It was going too fast to get a pic of the front, but its a 2nd generation XF, the last one before the new 105"s. No writing on it that i saw.
is that on the a14 mate?
yes it is mat, in or near the dip at Ipswich beet factory westbound. I passed him in the layby opposite the orwell crossing truck stop, he wasnt even in the cab at the time, i was running light so was on the limiter, within 5 mins hed gone past me, he was rocking!!
surely at that speed he should be working for IRF??
its the containers that run fast mate, the tilt boys do it a different way they go slower!
Yeah, hurry up & wait!! Thats yer containers.
thats some motor i wonder where he got that done.
Cool!
Is there some kind of fashion starting in Felixstowe for the biggest cab? First Romantiek, then JFH, now this?
Where will it all end, with a showman’s caravan towed behind the container trailer?
well they have all been beaten by the big yank that came into dublin docks this evening!! unfortunatly i was sat in my truck waiting for my chinese to be delivered when it went past, so i didnt get a piccy. it had a rather short tandem curtainsider with a taillift, no idea of the nationality
The standard SSC is a roomy cab so I reckon in that extended cab it’d be a route march to the wheel in the mornings.
On the subject of big cabs does anybody remember the Two 142’s that used to runaround on boxes with big extended cabs.
The cabs must have been extended by 2-3 feet and had a kenworth aeroydyne type roof extension. Also the steps up to the cab were all fibreglassed in with swirly steps.
There was a tatty looking red one and a tidy blue one that I think had " Fred Flintstone haulage" or something similar on it.
Rumour had it that the red one was involved in a big RTA on the M40 in 2002 but have seen the blue one on the M25 a couple of years ago.
Cheers

I saw it yesterday on the A1. No markings or anything. The pic at the top doesn’t really do it justice - side-on it’s massive!
Does anyone know who runs it?
it went past me today, only mark was the reg: l666 rjr… that thing is maahooooosive!!
