Leccy trucks coming thick & fast

Nah don’t presume, I just give what I get.

You get nothing. What is so hard to understand here? You’re an irrelevance, an amusing aside at best. You get diddly squat apart from the obvious contempt that you invariably invite in.

This is the crapolla I mean, You haven’t a shred of evidence or proof, it’s just some garbage Farage & his anti climate tossers spew out to the likes of you.

I said they are good for (in excess) of 200,000m miles. That is the early models. The newer ones will exceed that and likely out last an ICE engine.

The cost of replacements batteries (That you would likely never need) would never be half the cost of the car. I guess you read that in the daily fail. If you had a car that had done 300,00o miles. You are not going to buy a brand new engine to put in it are you. Come on get real.

Working for the Air ambulance i can assure you that EV’s are far safer. Attending an EV incident is far less traumatic.

I can assure you I am more than clever enough to cost all of my vehicles. I have a motorbike, a very nice ICE car and an EV which is a very good, and very cost effective car - fantastic on long journeys, but thanks for your consideration. Cheers.

I have driven from west Cornwall to Oban in mine. Only charged when stopping for a break. No idea what you are talking about. one 40 ish minute break is 660 miles of range. Thats a couple of fill ups in my ICE car and i’d still take a break. Its not hard to understand but you seem to be inventing issues that dont exist to feed your misunderstanding.

well i dont know what your ice car is but i have a 1973 p6 3.5 v8 with twin su’s thats done over 300k it will still bend the needle on the clock if i pushed it. Infact it has enough torque to snap both half shafts from a standing start.

To do a 660 mile journey at 30 mpg i would take 22 gallons the tank is 15 gallons so would take 5 minuetes to fill not 40. I dont have to hunt for a charger and pay an absolute fortune if i can find one that works. Any breaks i wish to take can be where ever i wish not some urine soaked hell hole of a msa.

The only reason that fatalities at crash sites with ev’s are less gruesome is ashes arent gruesome

I agree with your last paragraph. covering farmland in solar panel is ridiculous. They are also quite frustrating in my current job. I wont go into details of what i do now but they cause issues.

Dont believe all the range, and battery diminishing issues.

Doing 660 miles you woud take a break. That means you would be stopping for long enough to charge the car. I just whack it on charge and its done for me. It is easier.

My ICE car is a Turbo S (2024)

What on earth are you on about regarding ashes? EV’s are safer in impact - no spikey lump of metal in front to pierce your organs and they rarely catch fire. When the call comes in the guys and girls at the gruesome end breath a sigh of relief on hearing it is an EV i can assure you.

You mean anti Chinese interests.Chinese interests which want to send us back to the stone age, as a subservient Commy puppet run regime, so that China can plunder and take the world’s resources for itself.
Climate indeed.

yes where i want to as i said… it could be the top of a mountain where i can enjoy the view or on the side of a loch where ever i fancy but definetly not in some msa as i said.

pull the other one the only difference is the engine block and that is designed since the 70’s to fold out and under the vehicle not through the passenger cabin. They certainly do catch fire which if you truly do work as afirst responder you would know as the firebrigade automaticly turn up with a hiab and bowser to drop them in if they know its an ev

i posted this video on another topic but just to demonstate hoe easily they catch light and how quickly… Watch E-Bike Battery Explosion in Lift | Streamable and no it wasnt a farraday effect that caused a short as the ev brigade tried to claim

There are chargers in amazing locations i can assure you.

Lets discuss the engine block. they break, shatter and have bolts attaching it. i can assure you there are hundreds of sharp points in an ICE engine that will penetrate you. Take a look at some accident reports.

I am not a first responder. i couldnt afford a TUrbo S on their Salary.

It is no good sending me a link to a battery fire is it. The chance of an ICE car catching fire is 48 x more likely than an EV. You wont get soaked in in a flammable liquid as you lie unconcious either. You are spewing out the disinformation of the naive TBH.

There Are Two Types Of People in this world: those who can extrapolate incomplete data.

Add the word glare then

was going to ask, it’s not as great an issue with panels mounted on domestic roofs then?
Not being a pilot, but I imagine if you have a few acres of the things, you have nowhere to look

set a gram of petrol on fire and a gram of lithium and see what happends…which is the most violent and releases the most energy

when was the last time you heard of a car spontaniously combusting that wasnt an ev. wait a week and there will be another ev vehicle thats caught fire but then again any evidence is explained away with even more silly theories.

Let’s play it down a bit, it isnt a serious hazard, but more and more substantial solar panel sites are appearing on the sides of major roads, the outskirts of towns. Its another hazard.

I am very much against subsidising farmers to accomodate them as you are.

What are you are about now. Of course lithium releases more energy when it burns but that doesnt make it more dangerous. A lightning strike sends far more energy through your body than falling off a ladder but more folks die from falling off a ladder because lightning strikes are a rare occurance. EV fires are rare and that saves lives regardless of the intensity.

You are seeing what you want to see here rather than assess risk. I can assure you an EV is safer in impact and far less likely to burn you to death. Any emergency service will tell you this.

again when was the last time you heard of an ice vehicle catching light spontaniously. its a weekly occurance with ev’s

Define spontaneous in any chemical reaction.

Lol had to get that in didn’t you  bell end.
