I have over 5000 pictures spread around the internet and I have come to the conclusion that if I want to keep them to myself then I should not put them out there. I still object to people re-posting them and claiming them as their own and really do not like people selling them but accept that it is my own fault for putting them there in the first place. I still have thousands more that will never be put out and would tell anybody not to put a photo you care about anywhere on the net no matter how safe you think it is.

My daughter found one on facebook and showed me it, being a pic that I had been looking for for ages, I put it on here and somebody objected about facebook pics being put on here, I assumed he meant me so I apologised, I must have narked him because I havn,t seen him post since
, the thing was whiile searching through photo threads it had already been posted by somebody else before me .
It is not me complaining Robroy, I do not have a facebook account and have no intention of ever starting one. I might moan a bit but the only time I actually complain is when they are on Ebay for sale

Hello everyone,
Let me clear some things up: 1: I have never said the Irving picture are mine, I’ve always said they are from Facebook & 2: I haven’t a Facebook account
Kindest Regards

Hi All
I have 1000s of truck photos but I wont put them on here because as soon as you do some less desierable person puts them on e bay and profits out of them rather than just sharing.
Its probebly ESL thats, their profit margin lol
i have read with great interest the comments regarding posting photos on this thread.
those people who do own a large photo colllection why dont you download your photos onto the site with copyright over the image,as i feel people are far less likely to copy them and then try and sell them on with copyright over the top.
it would be such a shame that photos dont get posted because of a few undesireables.
its so important that photos go onto these thread to keep it going and to keep people interested, and of course its a way of remembering all those long gone companies.
so come on everybody stop moaning at each other and continue posting please

The chap in the shot looks like it is Harry Fearon,in his younger days, and the BMC van is Norman Dowell’s,further along are two of Robsons Traders.I wonder if anyone knows where the photo was taken ? Wigton maybe ? Cheers Bewick.

Hello Bewick
The photo was taken at Wigton Market in the 1960s, but I have since removed it because I discovered that it was copyright of Leyland600, which I didn’t know because it was on Ebay.
Has anyone got any photos of Fearons Smiths Lorries?
Kindest Regards
