Can anyone tell me where Irving’s Depot was in Workington. I have been told it was at Distington Engineering but other people have told me it was at Clay Flats?

I hope thats not “a dig” at the Great Bubbleman,as he has done more work with regard to supplying many super old shots for this site than anyone and I believe these few of shots of my old Marra John Irving’s motors will be far more appreciated on this site than on “arsebook”,Put it this way mate I’d be totally “■■■■■■■ if any of the Bewick photos appeared on “arsebook” but not the other way round ,for sure !! Excuse me but if someone posted pics you took and someone like ■■■■■■■■ gill posted them everywere im sure you wouldnt be happy. the photos shouldnt have even been put on facebook. so dont have a go at me.

Look Marra, we’re not having a go at you, but I’m sure if I found some pictures that Bewick had on Facebook (if he had a Facebook account), he wouldn’t mind them going on somewhere desent like Trucknet. I sure he and the owner of the Irvings pictures would be really ■■■■■■ off if they found the photos on Ebay for sale (I have found loads of Trucknet photos on Ebay).
So, lets end this arguement and lets get craking more about John Irving, H & M E Fearon, James O’Neil and all the others involved in West ■■■■■■■■ Chemical Haulage.
