How much DCPC have you completed ? (Poll )

top-gun:
Tesco will sort it for you

They can’t afford me…:slight_smile::slight_smile:

So how does johnny foreigner get around not having one, because he can’t read the exam questions?

Don’t tell me there’s no written exam part to all this!

Periodic DCPC is only an attendance course, there are no DCPC exams.

not done any of mine and got 6 years before retirement, As I’ve been out of work for a while due to personal reasons I don’t know if to bother or not
or just hang my keys up not prepared to work for an agency on 0 hours contracts.
So it all depends if I can find somewhere cheap to get it done. Anyone know anywhere reasonable around the west Midlands?

None as yet, sending cheque off for the full 35 hrs soon and all without sitting a bloody minute of it.

Interesting

Better book it up front then, 'cos there’s gonna be a bit of a queue at instructor’s gate like… :unamused:

All 35 hours got the card

2 done, looking forward so much to the other 3 :unamused:

First one today, second hopefully in October.

None, Not now, Not ever.

Done last 7 hours today, so all sorted. Lucky that company do it. However the module I did today was the same as I did 2 months ago, but hey ho, not really bothered. Don’t have to worry about it now for a few years.

You probably didn’t do the same course… it just feels like you did.

My firm does 1 day per year, so I’ve just got next year’s to do then I get me card.

Obviously the “getting it through the back door” method isn’t on the voting options as nobody would be dumb assed enough to disclose it, but it would be interesting to know how many have opted for this.
,
As for me the co. ran courses I now have my card :sunglasses: , and I now feel completely enlightened, educated and much more competent in my job as a finely trained elite professional, struck by the realisation that I have been doing it all wrong for the last 34yrs, and wondering how I managed without it.
Looking forward to the pay raise, respect, and better conditions that my new qualification will qualify me for.

At least you have it, unlike some of those 20% who live in la la land and think it is just going to go away.

OK, but to be honest I have a sense of admiration for the said 20%, at least they are sticking to their principles, making a stand and some are even intending jacking solely because of it.
If I thought that there would be any solidarity or achievement towards refusing to do it, I would have been with them, but that, true to form with drivers, will never happen, and too many people are making money out of it for said 20% to achieve anything anyway, and it has became political.
The industry is going to lose a lot of good, experienced “proper” drivers through this horse sh, to the point where the dicks are in the majority, :unamused: so God help us that are left among them, and our fast dwindling reputation because of them

All done, card received, paid for by the company and paid to attend. We’re lucky at our place, I know.

On my last CPC module I encountered a bloke who just the week before was banging on that " i’ll park up before I do CPC hand my licence in and blah blah blah, I spoke to him at my old yard the week after and he said “keep the cpc course quiet” WTF for?

Not done any and won’t do any, will look for something else from next sept. just started with a company that does it on a Saturday, you attend without pay and they only take £34 off you for the privilege.
My reason has always been the same, it’s attendance only so not worth the effort, training without testing is pointless. It’s not as if it’s not needed, just look at some of the questions asked on here, but in its present form it’s only a further waste of time and money, two things I don’t like to give up easily.
