I’ve been reading up on this new Deepseek AI from a Chinese company & Boy did they throw a spanner in the works of trumpers first week in office.
Trump initiated a $500billion A I chip/infrastructure policy to make their AI fit to lead for the next century (his words) & the Chinese came in with Deepseek AI which is better & faster than Chat GPT & other AI variations.
It cost $6million using today’s chips, opposed to $billions the USA spent on bigger & better hardware.
The data centre hardware costing $40000 for GPU’s are now over & Nvidia being the biggest loser, around $1 trillion lost overall, the biggest tech stock drop in US history.
A large part of Nvidia’s work was making these expensive GPU’s for data centres with a 95% profit margin, and you can now use Deepseek AI with a half decent gaming GPU & it cost way less in energy to run it.
Musk must be wetting his pants, as he’s said Tesla is more an AI company than a car manufacturer. All the car manufacturers he was going to sell his expensive AI to, now blown away as Deepseek is free open source.
Microsoft, X & META all lost out & those smucks leveraged up to the eyeballs in loans to invest in trumpers AI infrastructure/chip program now blown out of the water.

If you want to emmigrate there you have to have specific skills and a specific level of english and pass exams. none of this turning up because they are threatend and passing threw 10 safe countries
I beg to differ, we have illegals who destroy their papers before arrival, knowing it will drag out their case for years. In the meantime the taxpayer is paying for their food and accommodation, often at prime inner city addresses.
They’re only doing the last mile in leaky boats, people smugglers have brought them from as far as Africa and the middle east. Only the rich can afford to get here, genuine refugees are happy to get to the first safe country.
Personally I’m not bothered whether Trump does or doesn’t manage to do everything he said he will in his inauguration speech. It will have no bearing or noticeable difference in my day to day life here in the UK.
However I admire the fact people voted for him based on a set of policies he said he would do and he’s actively trying to force those policies through. If only our weak spineless politicians in this country for god knows how long could have followed his lead.
That was entirely my point, I aint too fussed about Trump either…I just like not giving the whinging lefties all their own way on here.
As said, I just hope it has an effect on UK when his hard line aporoach is seen to work, particularly on illegal immigration…my pet hate.
