Busy Mr Trump

The country is going to be very busy fighting amongst themselves in court about his dream changes
Its the damage he can do outside the country that’s worrying

So basically he has done a whole lot more to improve his country in one day than what Starmer has done in 6 months to improve his.

To be fair at his age late 70s? He’s doing alright .
as on is inaquartion day it seemed to go on from early morning to late into the night with all the events he attteneded .
And was hard it it again. This morning signing paperwork etc.hes got some stamina

He doesn’t worry me, he’s a criminal liar and probably won’t do half of what he’s promised.

Anyone offering odds on him lasting four years?

I can’t disagree with your assessment of him. If he was the one who had to enact all of his ideas, then nowt much would happen, again, agreed.
But he is letting a load of absolute nutters into his inner circle, even more than last time around.

Interesting times as they say.

It depends if your definition of damage is doing what’s bad for Socialism and China.

He’s already survived 2 attempts to kill him so think he will be around for the whole term

This is interesting
US President Donald Trump has signalled plans to question the right of any country to tax American multinational corporations and is threatening to take countermeasures against countries that do not, in effect, cede their tax sovereignty over US multinationals operating within their own borders.

In a presidential memorandum1 issued hours after taking office, President Trump signalled plans to turn back US tax policy to a pre-League of Nations standing – to a time when companies could only be taxed by the imperial power they came from, regardless of where they were making their money. Trump also ordered the US Treasury to prepare ‘protective measures’ against any countries exercising tax rules that the new US administration sees as exercising ‘extraterritorial’ or ‘disproportionate’ impact on US-headquartered multinationals.

In effect, this requires countries to cede their tax sovereignty over multinationals operating within their own borders – or face serious countermeasures.

I guess that Panama. Canada, and Greenland won’t be affected then…
He seems to think they are all part of 'Merika anyway.

Stay out of the grownups’ conversation, until you understand the subject.

I’m going to take a four-year hiatus from that orange clown, Mr Pie was spot on as always about him on his inauguration.

The only thing I want to read about him is if some other gun nut had a better aim than the last one.

I know what you mean, but can you imagine the state of US democracy if a nutter were to assassinate Trump? The backlash by his supporters would be horrendous.
I can imagine that if Trump were to succumb to a surfeit of lam… burgers, or whatever that too would give rise to talk of conspiracy etc. His disciples seem to think he is a messiah, saved by God etc etc…

I had to laugh as they all screamed and shouted in a group ecstasy when he announced that the Gulf of Mexico would now be called the Gulf of America.

As if anyone gives a damn, that little strip of water between Dover and Calais is called the English Channel on one side and La Manche on the other. Who cares, who gets excited about it? Channel Islands/Isles Normandes, is anybody getting exited? Small minds, little thoughts, let the kids play.

BTW you mght be interested to know that there is a wave of immigration coming to France, and possibly to UK too. Our French forum has increased its American membership by about 25 in the last month alone, all fleeing the Devil and asking how to complete all the applications for residency here. Nice people, you can’t always say that about Yanks. :joy:

It, and the thing doing the sieg heil salute yesterday, should be turned away by immigration at Heathrow when they turn up. Not wanted in this country

I doubt very much he has a clue what he signs half of the time, His inner circle of nutters tells him what to sign, He’s on about putting a 100% tariff on Spain because their NATO contribution is meagre, but says as they’re a member of BRICS & they want to miss their target they can lol.
but the US will impose “at least a 100% tariff on business they do with the United States.”
I said I wanted to give the orange clown a miss for four years, but I might change my mind, this is hilarious & it’s only day one.

There is trouble ahead for the entertainment industry I fear.

Remember Kissinger getting (jointly) the Nobel Peace Prize? Tom Lehrer stated that “political satire became obsolete”.
Did Armando Iannucchi match current reality with his former VEEP scripts?
I have previously posted YTs of “Tory MP” Rosie Holt, but even her videos are too easily confused with reality by some.

I think the “white mice” are “turning it up to eleven”.

I’m loving the lefty meltdown the last few days over Trumps inauguration.

Whether he does or does not or can or can’t do everything he said in that inauguration speech, at least he’s addressed concerns and issues citizens of the country he has been elected to represent want sorting and he’s at least trying to resolve them. There’s a few politicians in this country who ought to grow a backbone and take note.

Of course that’s an alien concept to people like yourself - you know actually putting the interests of your own people first and foremost.

Trumper & his corporate stooges were the people who off-shored all these American jobs in the first place for pure greed.
He makes it sound like he’s taking it to the enemy for the mentally challenged MAGA crowd but it’s the orange clown & his billionaire stooges that were the people resonsible for moving hundreds of thousands of American jobs to China over the past decades.
Prices for home made products made by higher waged American workers are going to skyrocket with no cheap labour to make them, especially when he’s sent the immigrants back home.

Those citizens would be the ones who feel the need to own a sub machine gun, want to see a return to 60’s style segregation, oppose abortion under any circumstances and have an “I’m alright Jack haul up the ladder, praise the Lord Alleluia, Yeee Haa” attitude.
