Even if they are made in a government run facility there is staffing costs and all sorts of other things so money has been “gifted” for want of a better word
The life of armaments is a darn sight longer than 5 years. How many muskets are there from the civil wars that still work how many times in the last 80 years have unexploded bombs been found. they dont just say of its past its use by date lets do a jig on it then carry it off over their shoulder. They blow the thing up. Hence or otherwise the great powers have stock piles.
Aside from that. if i give you a dollar yesterday it might of been worth a pound. today it could be worth 80 pence. its called inflation. Most countries at war have massive inflation. So any purely monetary aid is worthless and would only be spent on weapons anyway

The USA of Trump is “America First” and pretty much “America Only”
Trump and his administration are not interested in buddying up with anyone.
We as a nation are too small, to stand alone.
For many decades our economic health has been intertwined with Europe more than the old Empire.
Defence has been inside NATO, and Trump has made it very plain that under him, NATO is not as important as it was to previous POTUS.
It is simple common sense (ever heard of that?) that we need to support militarily those who we are tied up in other fields, such as food and energy supply. And although we have had close ties with the US in the past, own future is tied up with that of Europe.
Drag yourself out of the era of the old Queen.

Even the arch optimist and exaggerating BS merchant is not ruling out a recession. Markets tumbling all over the world.
And sorry, it is affecting every one of us. Not only our pension funds are taking a hit, but investment is falling, hence fewer and worse paid jobs. All prices will rise in real terms.
Just as some economic effects have a “win-win” effect, some have a “lose-lose” effect. That is the world Trump is creating.
Just look at his past behaviour, especially concerning litigation. He doesn’t care of he takes a financial hit, so long as someone else suffers more.
If he and another both gain $1m he is not happy.
If he loses $1m and another loses $2m he is ecstatic.
Both worse off, but he gets to crow from the top of his dung heap.
And that is how he seems to be looking at the US economy.
He doesn’t care how bad it is for the US and it’s ordinary citizens, so long as other countries do worse.
He measures success not by everyone doing better, but by his dung heap being bigger than some one else’s.
