As said before they wanted him to sign away the countries wealth before agreeing any guarantees, the guarantee wasn’t in the agreement and imagine being told how to act or say before the meeting
seems to me the only “man baby” is zelensky that doesnt know how to dress himself appropriately. Zelensky sounds a right entitled moron.
and how old is elons son. a quick google and he is about 4… can you really not tell the difference between a 4 yr old child and a 47 yr old and what can be expected.
There is an awful lot going on in the world of Trump at the moment.
This is quite important, but has dropped off the radar for many:
A few days ago two males were allowed into the USA. They have arrest warrants in the UK charging them with money laundering, trafficking and sex offences involving minors. The UK is looking into extraditing them.
Trump says he is not aware of the situation.
The suspects say"Their lawyer Eugen Vidineac said earlier this year that the brothers remain “dedicated to clearing their names and reputation”.
(Independent)
I have an idea how they can clear their good names! I bet others have too.
When you watch that conference there was 6 maybe more of trump’s cronies. Plus the press on his side all hand picked All surrounding zelensky. He was there alone. Trump was hoping to intrnidate him / bully him into doing what he wanted. And it didn’t work
“seems to me the only “man baby” is zelensky that doesnt know how to dress himself appropriately. Zelensky sounds a right entitled moron.”
Perhaps you need reminding that to President Zelenskyy and the people of Ukraine this is his “uniform”, worn in their support . Very similar in principle to Winston Churchill’s Royal Yacht Squadron Uniform, dressed in which he met President Roosevelt on 9 August 1941 and again on the 14th when the Atlantic Charter was announced; the Charter which has shaped the modern World until the past couple of weeks. This was an equally important meeting as the recent White house meeting with the present incumbent of that building.
Winston Churchill was well known for wearing a more convenient and comfortable ‘Siren Suit’ which he also wore at the White House on 3rd January 1942

The electric Panzerjäger didn’t waste any time getting rid of all the officials in departments investigating the bent gets companies.
That may well be so.
Zelensky will not agree and did not agree because he thinks the potential terms are unfair, and good on him, and sees another potential option, light at the end of the tunnel.
Now if the ONLY other option was to carry on with the war on his own, get a lot more of his people killed, and inevitably lose that war to Russian occupation, he would have agreed…all day long, cos he aint stupid.
Not good for him or his country,.and in comparison with the cards he has in his hand it makes Trump’s scheme a no brainer.
Now whether or not that is fair, or Trumps agenda or motive for all that is ethical, honourable, self serving or whatever else you can think of in your dusplay of hate, is not the main concern for us in the UK.
I dont know about you lot but I am extremely selfish and care about nothing or nobody else, when it comes to the safety and welfare of me, my wife and my family,.and it supercedes for me any god dam thing that is going on in world politics ok?
So my point is…
He sees Starmer coming the hero and gobbing off about ‘Utmost support for Ukraine’ .
He hopes for an intervention from European forces,…which will firstly probably be the kiss of death for NATO,.a succesful organisation, given that it is arguably responsible for the prevention of WW3 since 1945…so go figure.
So to go back to what I have said, …
Why are you all so intent and prioritising in displaying hatred for Trump, we get it ffs, …he aint Mr Popular with you all.
But move from all that and look around what is going on because of all this from OUR pov, and possible detriment.
When our own leader seems intent, (and I may be wrong, Jeez I hope I am !) , in backing Ukraine by possibly going as far as fighting alongside them against Russia after trying to get backing from other European govts and forces…so Europe v Russia in a war.
The cluster ■■■■ of consequences of that for us alone does not bear thinking about, and as I said before, it is not the first time a Labour govt has took us into a foreign war.
That particular one lasted about 20 years in the ME, this one may not be as long, in fact it could even end very abruptly with a bang if you get my drift.
Call it bullying and appeasement or wtf you like…and hey it may well be.,
Somebody brought Churchill into this, his wuote was ‘jaw jaw is better than war war’
Suddenlly Zelensky not getting a very fair deal becomes a much better option…especially when he knows he is beaten.
That pretty much happened when Trump publicly announced that he didn’t think the US should support NATO members he didn’t think deserved it.
What will happen if Putain is not stopped now?
Will he just say “Oh that’s enough I will stop now”?
Try thinking about the consequences of appeasing Putain now!
Yeah, or maybe a warning shot or even a threat to abandon it if other member states did not cough up enough cash in contributions.
Look I would expect your irritating obtuse nature to disagree with everything I say to prevail over all, but I am trying to take out the prioritising on personal political preference from the conversation, and point out that this situation (and Starmer) could be leading us into a war.
Now play the clutching of pearls card if you like, I dont give a one, contradict me all day long if it entertains you, but this could escalate into something bad for us.
That only works if you share that opinion.
I have said all I think about that one already…
Try thinking about our soldiers being killed en masse in a foreign war which aint got a lot to do with us.
Look I aint going to argue (with YOU especially on this, it has been proven pointless to do so many times in the past.)
I have given my opinion on my priorities and on the possible consequences of all this sh.
You just carry on pointlessly slagging off political personalities…it’s what you do best.
Is there a risk of a wider war?
Yes there very much is.
The best way to avoid that might be for the World to show Putain we are all united and stop him where he is.
Not appease him now, and let him carve off various chunks of different countries over time.
Trump is failing to be a tough guy although he carries the biggest stick.
So the rest of need to all join together.
So said Chamberlain about Czechoslovakia. But not what was said about Poland.
So should GB have sat on the sidelines in WW2?
When has giving in to aggressive bullies ever worked for long?
Why would Putain stop?
I aint advocating for appeasement I am just stating that it could be the case.
(Btw firstly…really got to say that I do not believe that YOU are lecturing ME on the merits of standing up for yourself and not being a pacifist.
)
I aint a pacifist but I am a realist.
I am as ever watching and weighing up the situation.
Yeah I would prefer it if Trump said to Putin ‘step out of line and we will ALL collectivelly kick your ass’
Aint happening.
Trump has made it perfectly clear the US have spent far too much cash already under Biden, and it stops now.
Unfortunately that is the hand of cards on the table as it stands, Trump’s motives are only a feature in the game,.albeit a puzzling and ambiguous one open to all sorts of theories
So Europe (including us) are left to deal with Putin.
Yep my (non pacifist ) head says, ■■■■ him, get in there, and as I said aggressively ‘kick his ass’ militarily.
My logical and (arguably) sensible head says it is a non win situation, and if attempted will not be succesfilul and with dire consequences.
Now if that is construed as appeasement, that is unfortunate and not ideal I fully undetstand that.
So instead of me listening to your usual pseudo (and very amusing) bravado coming from you, I would refer to and draw on my oen personal experiences in life of (reluctantly ) stopping short of (in this case my country nd it’s ridiculously depleted but finest Army ) biting off more that is chewable.
To precis and condense that in one sentence…
In a war with Russia we are totally ■■■■ ed without the help of the US’
Like it or not.
Thanks for the latest of your history lessons imparted to me btw.
perhaps it isnt… zelensky adressing putin… whistle, shirt and tie https://media-cldnry.s-nbcnews.com/image/upload/t_fit-1000w,f_auto,q_auto:best/rockcms/2022-02/220223-Volodymyr-Zelenskyy-ac-943p-f6c5b7.jpg
meeting trump … jeans, t-shirt and a jumper https://static01.nyt.com/images/2025/03/01/multimedia/01dc-trump-showdown-tjfc/01dc-trump-showdown-tjfc-superJumbo.jpg?quality=75&auto=webp
If i turned up for a job with 5th wheel grease all over my clothes hole in my boot laces undone and hair not combed i probably would have less chance then turning up in clean smart clobber with my hair combed.
Ignoring the politics, if Putin is allowed to take part of Ukraine, he will not stop there. He will carry on his expansion plans. At what point does Europe and UK say, enough?
When the Russian navy sails up the Tyne? Its a bit late then.
if he sails up the tyne there is nothing to worry about there is nothing there just a bad football team.
Sorry… seriously though. I dont think putin has plans as far as europe. i think he is just trying to secure his borders with a buffer zone. as was agreed after ww2. It is Europe that have broken the agreement and encroached by allowing all the eastern block states to join really.
Yep and I maybe agree with that.
So given all those circumstances,.and it is all very noble of Starmer to try and appear strong, (I myself give him enough stick when he aint ffs ) what would you say is the best option.
Go with Trump and his self serving treaty, while bearing in mind Putin is unpredictable, but using the time afterwards to build up British and Euro forces and defence…and maybe then have to take him on but on a level playing field.
Or.
Possiblly take on Putin more or less now and Russia without the US with the predictable consequences.
Ok Zelensky will not be happy with first option, but we owe him nothing.
We have to put ourselves first.
This is no longer about if we hate or idolise Trump.
Common sense has to come into it.
What gives Putin the right to have a “buffer zone”. That’s like the school bully hiding behind his “friends” when he is confronted. Are his defences not strong enough? Or does he just want others to bear the pain whilst his country sits back. That’s the actions of a coward.
What if the people living in the buffer zone decide that they too need a buffer zone - but this time from Russia.
Putin may or may not have designs on the rest of Europe but what about his successors?
Nah Sunderland sits on the Wear not the Tyne.
