Oh sweet Jesus not only the trademark patronising, but an actual explanation AND a history lesson. :joy::joy:.

The peacekeeping option will be gone if/when Trump gets fed up and ceases any intervention.
They are basically on their own with a much snaller package of aid from Europe.

Zelensky does not want a peacekeeping force, especially after accepting, or having to accept, a treaty he does not agree with…
'‘Do You Not Understand’ that?

He wants to carry on the fight, (tbf I see his point) but he can not do it alone, his army is depleted.
Say what you like he has not got the resources the Russians have, (and we will not mention the nuclear option, )so the only option is to gain some alliance in that combat zone…
‘Do you not understand that.’.?

Meanwhile the rest of you carry on supplying the anti Trump.memes…and FB crap, and just ignore the point I made about Brit troops potentially coming home in body bags.

Yep you paint a grim but potentially accurate picture mate.

Will Trump be watching the tele tomorrow? He is apparently a fan of King Charles, so might he watch as he meets Zelensky?

I daresay Zelensky will wear what he always wears. And I daresay Chas won’t be as put out as the man-baby was.

iv seen that entitled look/attitude of Zeles among several East Euro males around here and that type thinks that saying Thank You is a real sign of weakness . Actually he dressed like the romanian lot who deliver food locally and wouldnt look out of place carrying a just eat bag. Wish theyd shown the moment Z was told to go "get the fark out "

You mean Zelensky? And how he was dressed in the Oval Office?

If he does wear a suit tomorrow it will upset mr trump, as he thinks he’s the king

yes,Zelensky really does look the part of a Roma Ukraine entitled man in the UK .how romas manage to run a big beemer/audi while Just delivering food is anybodies guess?. Whatever your political views he showed no respect in another mans home ,no smiling from the off ,he was positively bristling

A bit like when Winston Churchill wore a boiler suit to the WhiteHouse then?
Or when this guy (wearing a t-shirt) kid smeared bogies over the desk?

I could not care less what people wear and neither do I judge them by what they wear, the only time I wear a suit myself is at a wedding or funeral…(or court…joke)

Thing is though people of a certain generation do have these old fashioned standards.
You would think out of a mark of respect and gratitude to a country that has baled him out for millions of dollars, that Zelensky would have read that particular room and made a bit of effort…
I think that was the catalyst for Trump’s attitude, he saw it as disrespectful…yep, trivial I know.

Put it this way if I went to a bank or building society for a large loan, or even an important official meeting, I would not be rocking up in cargo shorts, t shirt and baseball cap,… my normal attire as leisure wear.
‘Horses for courses’
(After saying that to contradict myself,.I went right off Ant and Dec when I bumped into them at StJames Park pretentiously dressed in suits.:joy:)

Edit : According to Sky News … Zelensky was requested or at least advised to wear a suit at the White House.
Trump obviously knew this…hence the initial comment.

.Reminds me a driver i know started a thing with a Ukraine wom. not a very pretty one anyhow she shiaet on him once she had been here a while got her visa . Im think he drove for Kemballs or possibly Macintyre ,yes was macintyre ,out of Felixstowe. He told me hed even had a go at living in the Ukraine but was not welcomed one tiny bit by the men. I once went round his house and another trucker was browsing a catalogue of Phillipino women. I leaned over his shulder to look but he turned it away said buy your own book !

I freely admit that I don’t know enough about the whole Russia v Ukraine thing to argue one way or another. I will say (at the risk of repeating myself) that a large number of my close friends are Eastern European and lived previously in the former buffer states. Their take on this war is completely different to how I as a UK citizen have been led to believe.

Who’s right? I have no idea, but I suspect that as always history will prove that there are lots of idiots who backed the wrong horse because of believing and following the narrative.

Time will tell.

The Orange Man Baby arrives at Heathrow for its state visut to be met by King Charles who promptly says: “and you can ■■■■ off and take your tribe of trumpanzees with you”

Nah not at all mate.
When they both meet he will expect him to show utmost due respect to his status, and obviously bow to him, …and make sure not to turn his back on him.

Can’t see Charles agreeing to that though tbh .:joy:

He didn’t have much respect or old fashioned standards when, during his previous state visit, he effectively pushed himself in front of the Queen when they were inspecting the guard.

Yeah that is correct, definitely an own goal.
But I was referring to standards of dress in particilular.
