“We must never forget that Russia helped us win the Second World War, losing almost 60,000,000 lives in the process.
“All of that being said, I’m going to do Russia, whose Economy is failing, and President Putin, a very big FAVOR.
“Settle now, and STOP this ridiculous War! IT’S ONLY GOING TO GET WORSE. If we don’t make a ‘deal,’ and soon, I have no other choice but to put high levels of Taxes, Tariffs, and Sanctions on anything being sold by Russia to the United States, and various other participating countries.

US President Donald Trump has ordered officials to make plans to declassify documents related to three of the most consequential assassinations in US history - the killings of John F Kennedy, Robert F Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr.
“A lot of people are waiting for this for long, for years, for decades,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Thursday. “And everything will be revealed.”
He did promise to end the Russian war against Ukraine within 24 hrs. So he has failed already.
If he were to stop it within 24 days I would still think that a massive plus for him though. Can’t see it happening though.
Earlier I was struck by many UK commentators being disappointed that Starmer was not at the inauguration, and being very critical of the “snub”.
Of course not commenting that some other previous PMs had not gone to inaugurations.
Biden, Trump, Obama, Clinton etc never had any UK PMs present, yet this time around the press make a huge issue out of it. I don’t think a UK PM has ever attended (open to correction) but now it is a major snub.

“I think, frankly, that Fema is not good,” Trump told reporters in Asheville, North Carolina.
I think when you have a problem like this, I think you want to use your state to fix it and not waste time calling Fema … I think we’re going to recommend that Fema go away.
He went on describe Fema as a “big disappointment”. “They cost a tremendous amount of money. It’s very bureaucratic, and it’s very slow,” he said.
Genius that Trump is.
He thinks that his emergency aid system is not up to scratch, so he throws it away…

Lets just clarify something here…
Personally I do not give a flying fart about Trump, I am not a fan, he’s just a guy involved in US politics of which on the whole does not have a great degree of bearing on my life…
After saying that if I could be arsed to weigh up the other option over there of woke leftyism, it’s a no brainer.
So any ridicule or criticism aimed at him has no real or relavant bearing on me personally…sorted.
However 
…
I just find it highly amusing that the majority of people in the United States of kin America, with it’s vast numbers of population thought him fit to rule them and voted for him thus.
But:joy:…a few Brit Lorry drivers, (and of course the resident Lefty borg…needless to say) all think they know better, and have better judgement.
Irrespective of whether he is good or bad, it’s a bit of a 'Glass houses and stones situation when you look at the derisory incompetent shower of sh that some of you voted in here, that we are currentlly having to endure.

If you read between the lines of what Trump & his billionaire Wall St mates are doing, they’re filling their boots whilst the goings good, The emerging multipolar world, i.e. the BRICS+ nations are going to disrupt that gravy train in the not too distant future,
They’re already ahead of the G7 countries GDP & the other nations waiting for full membership have all the mineral wealth they could possibly need for their brave new multipolar world. They’ll have a market of over half of the worlds’ population & growing, It’s the beginning of the end of the American empire & they know it full well.
The western-dominated rules based international order and particularly the system of global economic governance is both stacked against the BRICS+ interests and fundamentally outdated.
That is absolutely priceless, @franglais , nearly wet myself laughing, but then had to stop suddenly when I realised how close to the truth it really was.
But I won’t be copying it to the American site, not because American drivers are all fascists, though, as in the UK, a substantial number are to the right of centre politically, but because they have very strict rules there about political content which has to be restricted to one only section which I haven’t yet visited.
That’s why he speaks so slowly and sounds so dismal.
