It’s not about the value of our exports it’s the balance of trade which matters.The UK has a massive trade surplus with the US mostly because of the corrupt anti US import tariff regime that Trump rightly wants to smash and fix.We just don’t have the choice of buying American here.
As opposed to the EU which is a massive trade deficit liability to us.
The truth is our shelves are full of ( too many ) EU and Chinese products not American ones.
