Don’t suppose you’ve got any more of the old man’s fleet you could post up have you?

He has loved me showing him some of the old pics on here!

You must have dozen’s and dozen’s of our old fleets from over the years!

Keep up the good work!

Just a few to be going on with

S.A. Green & Sons Ltd., Beverley, took delivery of these 2 Albion Clydesdale 16 tons G.V.W.
They operated under contract to local animal feed millers Barkers & Lee Smith.
The bulk bodies were made by Pengco , Peterborough, and giving a carrying capacity of 9.5 tons.

Taken from an advertisement of November 1969.

Cheers , cattle wagon man,

Difficult for you to read the livery, but it is Hartleys from Boroughbridge

Found this picture when looking the other day,now that’s what you call loaded.A long since departed local haulier Joe Dean & sons from Greetland nr. Halifax.Used to also see an old Foden recovery vehicle they had,did do show circuit for a while don’t know if it’s still around.there yard at Greetland still seems to be used. Also just spotted this beautiful old Bison too.

Joe Dean & son Albion Revier.jpg

Hi Chris, great photo of the Joe Dean Albion. Not what I call loaded though, room for a few more bales over the cab !!
I dont remember them having a breakdown lorry that did the shows,Ripponden used to take their Foden on the Trans-pennine etc.
I dont know what happened to it when Ripponden closed down though.

Regards John.
Just noticed,it is only a sheet rack on the Albion cab,so yes it is a full load !!
