Has anyone else had any experience of receiving a delivery from Yodel. I found a card in my gate saying a Yodel van driver had tried to make a parcel delivery. Instructions on the back of the card to get in touch to arrange a new delivery date etc by telephone or by visiting their website. The phone system is an automated thing which gives an estimated delivery time. There is no way of speaking to anyone other than an Asian employee in an Asian country.I think this outfit belong to DHL.Still haven’t recieved my parcel three days later .
Come back BRS parcel deliveries.
Could be right about the DHL part, there’s a Yodel depot down the road from here and it was DHL that was in there before them.
From memory Yodel was formed from HDNL and DHL@Home if that helps shed any light on it.
DHL was losing money hand over fist on the parcels and sold out to Yodel iirc. The crappy service you’re getting is to be expected as they probably aren’t making any money on it either, hence the Asian call centre and general fobbing off-ness.
In fairness to the Yodel driver who delivers around where I live, he puts the parcel in the garage and a card through the letter box.
Yodel are the new/old Home Delivery Network.
Just to add my twopennuth, Yodel should have delivered to me yesterday, ordered on 1 November and put on 24 hour delivery, did they turn up? - NO!
Their website and tracking number said that my parcel was on the van and out for delivery at 07.40, phoned them today (0844 number so not cheap) and they said the driver had attempted a delivery (wrong) and when I pointed out why they were wrong (I was in all day and my wife is housebound at present anyway) they said that I would receive it tomorrow instead and could I wait in, when I said I couldn’t they just put the phone down on me. I have tried speaking to someone higher up but keep hitting brick walls, what a way to run a company?
If it was not for the fact that the item coming is a replacement item for a broken one I would have cancelled it.
If I order anything online in future I will ask first what parcel company they are using and if it’s Yokel I will not order from them and tell them why, after looking around on the internet they have an awful reputation.
Yodel are totally useless and I hope they go bankrupt!
We had a thing in our local paper about a scam like this last week. When you phoned the number it cost you £550

This^
They were losing £1,000,000 a week a few months back. I don’t know if this has improved or if the losses have increased since then.
not the best in the world of parcel delivery firms are they
last week the wife ordered a flat pack bookshelf and table set off tinternet and yodel were meant to deliver on monday, as im on nights i was in
at 4 pm the yodel van turns up with box 1 of 3 and no sign of the other 2 and no explanation of where the other 2 were.
, amazingly yodel turned up this afternoon with boxes 2 and 3 , just checked on the labels on the boxes and all 3 were printed at the same time

DHL are not stupid, they have survived by being thrifty and dumping this sector of the transport market on to an already struggling company was in their eyes a shrewd move, wasn’t HDN White Arrow before that? Only a matter of time before they go under and DHL will cherry pick their work from it.

I had the same issue with them for an amazon delivery. They were useless all over.
DHL have recently taken over our transport at work. They too are rubbish.
I would however prefer a yodel delivery than a hermes delivery. For some unknown reason whenever hermes returns come back the parcels are battered and opened, when the yodel ones come back they are intact.

Returns are like treasure to a driver, those of us who have done it will know
We had a delivery card saying we missed a Yodel delivery. The driver put their mobile no on. Being as we missed them by 5 mins we rang it, and they came back. Result!
Our yodel driver leaves Parcel at next Door and put a Card in my Letterbox saying where it is.
Its just the Driver who serves your District,i rekon
the yodel driver who come to my house yesterday will get a punch in the mouth if i see him again as he was rude arigent and he told er indoors to p off it was a good job he had driven off by the time i got outside
The Yodel driver who came to my house today nearly put the window through. I thought the house must be on fire the way she was knocking. Wouldn’t give up until I got out of bed though. Foreign lady couldn’t understand a word she was saying.
A lot of them are self employed and drive around in estate cars and small vans. There always advertising for self employed drivers on the back of the vans.

Saw one of the vans making a delivery in Rotherham on Monday, advert on the back for owner drivers with Tel number , I thought to myself they must be doing ok, if it makes £550 a call they certainly are.
The lazy git that came to our place on Tuesday didn’t even leave the card in the letterbox, just left it in the gate.
Anyone could have had it.If they don’t come tomorrow I shall get in touch with the company I ordered the goods off and demand a refund.
They’ve got a depot on the berryhill ind est at Droitwich around the corner from where i did my cat c training last month. Pretty sure that it used to be White arrow before that. hope this helps

The one that delivers to this area is from Nantgarew near Caerphilly.
