Sad thing is your posts and your clan of heroes are intimidating to many. I bet there’s a lot lurking in the background wanting to ask things but don’t bother because of the “Banter” ( read bullying)
I bet your the type to see a person struggle and walk over and criticise instead of assisting. Or maybe you will crack them round the head with your golf clubs as you always seem to be playing golf.

This ’ clan of heroes ’ that you speak of, do you mean the lads that have contributed to this thread that you don’t agree with?
Your interpretation of bullying is a little odd to say the least. As for cracking anyone over the head with a golf club, I wouldn’t do that.
My clubs are expensive. I would beat them with a concrete tee marker instead
Must dash, teeing off at 9.30am. Cheerio

I respect everyone’s views, it’s your constant labelling of drivers being Borg’s or weak etc etc. It’s tiresome. Buy a fleet of lorries set up with your cronies and make the best transport company in the UK. Put all these supermarkets and distribution centres right and lead the way to utopia
Oh and on the way help Trump reduce his £17 million loss at Turnberry while on your break.

Yep, played well. 38 points Stableford.
Force of nature (wind) vs Bigger one still (Beaver).
Final score Wind 0 Beaver 1. Anyway, more importantly I have hand delivered a letter to the agency in question and we will see if the game of hardball continues. £25 for a small claims court application online or £35 for a paper jobby.
Let’s see if the pointy shoe wearing mob pay up this Friday

Speed limits - GOV.UK
For speed alone why would a copper stop a HGV doing less than the posted, current, speed limit?
He can stop you for any reason he deems fit!
At the very least he can prosecute you for “not being in control of the vehicle” or whatever wording it is they use nowadays. By exceeding the speed limiter he may deem you are not in proper control of the vehicle.
I also said whether under or over the legal limit, not just the under that you chose to pick up on.
“He can stop you for any reason he see’ s fit”
Wrong!!!
A police officer can stop a vehicle for any reason, ie no reason at all, a police officer can make any excuse he desires … its an offence to not stop for a police officer when requested … however, simcor, please define not in control of a vehicle … if a truck is doing 58 no cop will pull him no reason to pull him.

Wrong again,
A Police Officer CANNOT stop a vehicle or indeed a person walking down the road without “reasonable excuse”.
He can’t stop a vehicle/person just because
“I felt like it”
“cause I didn’t like the look of him/her”.
“He was wearing a stripey shirt with a check tie”!!!
He must use his lawful powers to stop IE:
Road Traffic order/PACE or indeed anti terrorist legislation etc etc.

As I said earlier, that excuse can be the belief that an offence has been committed. From my own experience, driving a nice car around the ghetto (where I live) in the early hours (after I’d finished work) was just cause to pull me over in accordance with the misuse of drugs act.

I am sure they will beaver, if you need a man at your side in the county court who can cause mayhem in an empty room, give me a call. They will pay you up after 10 mins
Big truck.
You are wrong, as a police officer, you have the powers to stop and search, and pull a vehicle.
Stop and search of a person walking is different to a car, like chalk and cheese.
A car, motorcycle, truck coach etc, they can be pulled at the officers discretion or not… many a time, I pulled vehicles on a gut feeling no suspicious actions of a driver etc. I didn’t need a reason, however was easy to find a reason to ticket if the guy/woman was being an idiot.
That’s my experience of pulling for no reason … but will let you be right … even though the police do not need a reason to pull a motor driven vehicle.

If you claim you don’t need the money why are you chasing them after all? Both of you are just another dozy.

Principles mate. On that basis, is it ok to screw your missus and wipe my knob on your bedroom curtains before I leave?

Yes but you don’t “Have the powers” to stop a vehicle just because your a Police officer,
You need to be able to quote those said powers.
If you have a “clued up” individual like what we’d have a “few” of about NI and he asks
“under what law act are you stopping me in my car”■■
You then reply
“Just for the craic and because I can”
Expect a Solicitors letter and a Police Ombudsman’s interview into the bargain!!!

Lol, feel free, I prefer the curtain less chance of a headache … on serious note, I agree with the principal, might I ask did the agency call you in relation to your taking truck back or just … give the you will never work in this country again your blacklisted … until they desperately need a driver next week.

In England, it is the law to stop for the police in a motor prolled vehicle… a clued up person, easy to get around. Beucase in England and Wales it is lawful for a police officer to stop for any/no reason. Hey can then request your details … if you do not provide them your liable to arrest.
So are you allowed to stop a policeman in England?
Discoman- The agency didn’t even phone me after I took the truck back
I reckon they got an ear bashing off Culina Funnily enough, they haven’t offered me any work since then
