I’ve been doing some more heavy haulage this week on the agency. The biggest truck the company has is for 150 tonnes and is an FH12 XL and is 600hp. The truck I had, as with the majority of the fleet is also a volvo fh12 xl but they are only 520 bhp. None of the fleet are double drive. So not necessarily !
Some numpty will do it ad then realise lot more graft than it would seam .
As for the big stuff money where i am at present is much more than that i only do STGO2 at present and i wouldnt consider even doing is for 7quid especialy not flat rate next year on the even bigger stuff when driver hangs up his keys and would like to be seeing hell of a lot more than what scotts are offering as for getting into the job just depends who you no to say i landed on my feet is a understatment and iu certanitly dont see myself looking for future employment anytime soon and obliviosly employer thinks same as sick of them paying diffrent training .
considering the motor of theres i seen other day old 480 scania topline 6x4 dont think they even have any 8wheel tractor units so as Ricki says anyone can plate upto 65-80T but when your on the very big stuff you earn well but not for everyone
