Hi all,

I just found this thread through a google search, i hope you don’t mind me chipping in…

We currently sell safety boots by a small brand called Big Bear Workwear, which in my opinion are pretty good. They mainly sell to farmers and the agricultural sector but are good safety boots in their own right.

Do a search and have a look at them, if anyone has any questions about them please ask me, i’d be happy to help

Brown lol .No not really advertising, just a reccomendation, loads of agricultural merchants sell them apart from us. I was just doing some research on what’s out there and came across this thread and thought i’d mention them as they are a brand not many know about.

I live out in the sticks in Scotland and was recomended them by a farmer friend after wearing steely DMs for years. I do a bit of sound engineering on the side and they’re tough for crawling about on stages etc and very warm in muddy fields too lol

Handy for going across boggy land & ditches, the height would keep the water out  , they look good boots but I just couldn’t cope with the height of them for driving - too restricting

I thought the hight would be a problem when I first looked at them but it’s never really been an issue.
The side zip and soft leather means there not that restrictive.

Timberland pro are good. as with others can be pricey but makro have them on offer from time to time.

They’re between £65-£75 depending on where you buy them from. There is probably an agri merchant near you that sells them, i bought boots from Arco for years for the company i used to work for, but only recently found out that the Tractor yard along the road from my old company stocks them lol.
