Walter Koops is a Dutch company but a load of bloody foreigners took their jobs. Then those British drivers were slowly replaced by Poles

I seem to remember one of our polish friend’s rant’s in the not so distant past argueing that polish trucks do not have cheaper running costs than us ect.
Ok then, yes koops are a Dutch outfit could he explain why koops have flagged the fleet out, and now run on polish plates.
I have to say though, that my impression of polish trucks is, that they do seem to be mainly tidy looking these days.

reminds me when spain got a sudden cash injection from somewhere or the other a few years back.
all of a sudden the old pegasos seem to be replaced with shiny new dafs, scanias, volvo and the like, and you’d see them all over europe with equally new and shiny fridge trailers.
not looking quite as good for the spanish at the mo, tough times out there at the mo.
wonder if poland will go the same way?
who gets the next influx of shiny new trucks and trailers, the bulgarians, romanians, the russians maybe…

Well, they have nothing to say, there is right to settle everywhere I like in European Union. Even the longest transition periods for Poles are long gone.
So actually your country is not doing me any grace, it just fullfills its obligations towards European community. That I can be here and have job, driving wages down, is exactly the same rule that allows British expats to go to Spain, Bulgaria or France and buy houses there, driving house prices up. It simply works both ways.
And for sure you don’t do me any grace. Actually however sad is it for you, you lot have nothing to say about when I decide to settle - just as I have nothing to say about your life choices. I know you are very uncomfortable with that, as you used to tell people what to do all over the world and now you have to respect their rights even on your own soil, but hey ho, the world is changing.

Yes. Off course. When foreign companies invest in UK this is because they want to feel that superiority of Britain, but when they do the same in Poland, it is because Poland is “cheap tart”. Well, I am sorry to break your perfect picture of the world, but if the labour prices were the only factors, everyone would run to invest in Romania, Baltic states, or Bulgaria. But they invest in Poland, because it’s a big market, the only economy in Europe that survived the credit crunch with maintaining economical growth, because it has good geographical location, relatively low corruption and good work ethics.
As for my brothers allegedly pulling some family tax scam - could you elaborate on that? Last time I checked, my younger brother was a city guide in my native town and my older one was freelance graphic designer living in Polish mountains… None of them has truck driving license… You obviously know something that I don’t…

I used to pull those trailers for a while a couple of years back.
It was the trailers that had Irish plates on them, I did used to wander why at the time.
But we stopped hauling them,as we were uneconomic.
I think they are being hauled around by Bulgarians or whatever now.

We are an Island Nation, a small one at that. We don`t do any kind of invasion particularly well, our history would tell you that 
So we went and conquered a fair part of the world, both for security and for financial gain…I preferred it when the globe had a lot of Pink on it, it is what I learnt whilst at school.
Unfortunately the PC lot and liberal minded lot, somehow got a foothold in this country…But we also dislike them in equal measure.
When the brown stuff hits the fan in the next couple or three years, they will be rounded up and executed also

I would call it “antitrolling”. I just take all the abuse and stupidity and answer it politely, treating all alegation seriously and supporting my claim with facts and sources. Therefore I can’t see how I am breaking any rules with this. Maybe it’s feeding trolls and I should stop doing it?
But I have to admit, it can be fun from time to time. Still though, I would have more fun if we can have a proper discussion from both sides.

Yes, but the thing is that, as someone (not me!) pointed out, they won’t get more results from foreigners, because they will have about the same percentage of offenders as Britons do.

I wish I had your talent for language and patience.
