Never seen this asked but with so many members be good to find out where most people passed there test.
i paid for mine out my own pocket, passed my class 1 and 2 in livingston.
am ex t.a passed my class 1 and 2 in 1999 aged 17 had to wait 4 years before i could use it on public roads,but could drive army trucks on it lol.
class 2 taken in kilmarnock
class 1 in edinburgh
All self financed, Cat C in Enfield, C+E in Peterborough at the fifth attempt.
Passed class 2 in the army then the nice people at rh freight paid for my class 1.
Paid for it myself and passed first time 
back in “the good ole days” when you could go straight to a class 1.
Think i paid about £270 for an assesment, 5 day course and passed test at
Chiseldon(Wilts)
Both C2 and C1 paid for by myself.
Took it at Patrick Green near Leeds,in 91 and 96 respectively.

The EU paid for my Cat C test, cost me nor employer anything apart from the medical. 
Passed at APEX peterborough - nice chaps there.

Passed first time- probably didn’t deserve to- at Hersden, Kent on the 4th November 1986. Just the one test to do in those days, I did it in a day-cabbed Ford Cargo with a 20’ flatbed trailer.
PSV paid for by East Midland Motor Services 1975 in Mansfield.Passed 3rd time 
C & C+E paid by myself in 2000.Passed both 1st time in Inverness.
Royal Mail paid for mine back in 1983 at age 21
back when you could do class 1 (C+E) straight away.
Had to stay with them at least 2 years or pay back cost.
That then gave you the 2 years experiance most companys insist on 
2 years and 3 weeks after test I left to drive European.
Past me C+E@ Featherstone Nr Wolverhampton. Me D @ Swynerton Nr Stone and me C+E Instructor test @ Garretts Green Birmingham…
