LF 12 tonner is the fastest truck I’ve ever driven
I don’t mind the XF. The CF is ok if you’re not spending too much time in it.
Both are pretty old fashioned really. But they get the job done!
I had a mid roof XF once as a 6 wheel curtain sider, bloody loved it! fantastic cab, comfy with plenty of room! Shame i was only in that company for a few days on day work would loved to have night outed in it!

Don’t forget that you have that strange window within a window on a CFYea, one of it’s worst features.
Sometimes if my windows are a bit steamed up because of rain i’ll open the passenger window for reversing so I can see the mirror better. Can’t do this in a CF because the glass next to the mirror doesn’t open so you have to ■■■■ about wiping it
Up until the Euro6’s, the XF had that ■■■■■ window too

I’ll second that. Not much can keep up with mine when it’s empty. A few sprinter drivers have been caught by surprise off the traffic lights.

Why is that?? My CPC course didn’t tell me the difference between these, I drive a cf and yes the seat is crap and it’s not the most reliable but it does the job , you my son just make yourself sound like a patronising idiot with comments like that ,good day
■■■■■■■■■■ all round visibility is ■■■■ and reliability no thanks there ■■■■■■■■ nice bunk though
They both offer the same engines up to 480hp, its only the cab size and as some have mentioned the CF is more suited to shorter haul work but having said that is still a capable 44tonne truck with the right engine gearbox combination and would still be a viable distance truck if the budget was tight.
Only the XF lends itself to baubles and frillies though…
CF beats the Atego into a cocked hat - we’ve got a 53 plate and it still beats the newer Teutonic efforts hands down.
I had to drive a 6wh unit on flatbed work for a few days recently, 58 plate intergalactic miles but smooth and quiet.
Cab is a bit small, though.
I wondered if XF was DAFt CFs brother - but I see your not discussing forum members.
Been driving the CF for a while. I’d like to slap the person who thought those split windows were a good design choice. Blindside, in the dark in a tight yard with spot lights shining at you = near on impossible. I was in and out of that cab like a yoyo.
OUCH!!!
This one attacked me last week,
Anyone else done this stupid thing?
Put down my handfuls of crap on the ground, Keys, defect book, bag, gloves, diesel fob, swipe pass etc…
Unlocked & Opened the door,
Bent down to gather up all my stuff, stood up as the door was swinging closed
$!@?%^£!X+?%$£ ■■? I said !!
Funny enough, after the initial shock, it didn’t hurt, but the blood - it was everywhere,
