I think I’ll give it a miss, I’ve owned a few “things” in my time over £6k is a lot of repairs, is there anything that hasn’t been replaced
So some of you are away tramping. You spend all this money on a car that’s left for most of the week standing in a car park. I reckon the bloke with the old Toyota is the sensible one.
So if you’re away all week then you shouldn’t have anything you enjoy waiting for when you get back, what about a wife and a house are these ok to have even tho they aren’t used while you’re away?? Personally I reckon the sensible ones are the people that have the things they want and can afford whether it’s sensible or not
That would depend on whether you think material things can make you happy. Each to his own I suppose.
Although it’s nice to have a nice vehicle, something you really want, not all yards where you might need to park it in all week, have good parking. it would be a great pity in that case to find you get back & it’s been damaged.
That’s why I keep to a lower budget vehicle, that’s my own personal choice.
Yes material things do make me happy, and looking at this thread material things make others happy too, don’t get me wrong these are nothing like the happiness I get from my family but you’re not long on this earth so I like to think I’m making the most of it while I’m here, try treating yourself you may find it does make you smile too. I have no intention of being the richest man in the cemetery, but eh oh each to their own
I know what you mean bit I gave up the chasing a while ago. Living halfway up a Greek mountain in the middle of winter is not everyone’s idea of fun. But its what me the missus the dog and the cat love. Wouldn’t do for us all to want the same or my mountain would get crowded. Oh and I enjoy driving my Micra out here too. Some great roads and at this time of year it can be 10 minutes or more before you see another car. Its when you bloody tourists turn up its a pain. Lol

Yus Darb, the bloody ashtray I prefer not to call the expense ‘repairs’ but modifications and improvements but boy don’t it now go well. On a long run driving like an ole ■■■■ I can actually get 34 mpg
I may have been interested but when someone calls their car that “thing” it’s best to stay away
A friend has on it’s done about 110k and he’s just started spending on it I bet he stops before £6k tho
Family cars a 05 pug 407 diesel and my runnabout is a 03 tranist connect lwb with 209 k on it

These cars are pretty well bullet proof if looked after, servicing etc but my one wasn’t. I always fancied a Lexus so when I saw it I bought it without looking too deeply at the service history which was a foolhardy decision, but now it will probably outlast me
The fact that you have spent 6k on this car Raymundo says far more about you as a person than any posts you have made on this site. Most people would have walked away from this pup long before spending anywhere near the amount you have, but you are obviously a man who refuses to give up and obviously won’t settle for second best. A shrink would have a field day with you!
If it’s any consolation to you though if I were in the market for a second hand car, then your car and more particulary you would be the exact thing I’d be looking for as I know I’d be getting extremely good value for money.
Wow, just had an invite to a VIP used car event. “Strictly invitation only”.
I’ve got an 06 reg mini one bought it because it come up cheap not realy in to cars that much.
