Oh dear bloggs.
not very funny if you were one of the poor ■■■■■■■■ sat on the top deck
dont think it’s very funny at all. i can imagine my anger towards the driver if my 2 girls had been on board
my god…I didn’t realise the fun police we’re involved in the investigation
I didnt realise crashing a bus into a bridge, and injuring people was classed as fun. Bus drivers are supposed to be professional drivers just like us truck drivers, and yes i know trucks hit bridges aswell, Just shows theres some not so professional drivers on the roads, which tbh is quite scary. There is no excuse for striking a bridge, you should know the height of your vehicle, its your job.
PS this isnt a rant aimed at anyone, just a rant in general on the topic of the OP
I know that bridge very well.
The fire station is just the other side of it.
Very lucky not to kill any children - hope the injured ones make a swift and full recovery
As for the driver… if not a medical problem then I feel there is no excuse…
The link did not work for me. There is nothing funny about a road accident especially if children are involved.
Looking at the pics, it’s lucky nobody died. He really has underestimated the height of his vehicle, presumably he was under the impression he was driving a single decker.
there wasn’t actually anything funny about Michael Jacksons death but people laughed their arses off at that didn’t they! People always make ■■■■■■■ jokes as well…you’ve all laughed at someone else misfortune before…what difference does this make, just because they’re children?

You have answered your own question - it’s because they are children
The greatest majority of adults have a natural in-built mechanism which puts children above all other concerns.

Thanks for the biology lesson Rog, but I was very good at it in school when I was younger So what about when a child falls off the bike or something…you’ve never laughed? I have…all the time.

ONLY if the child has not been hurt
considering children have a delayed reaction with pain and start crying after 5 minutes…you’re saying you wait around to see if the child is hurt then laugh when you find out they’re not? I don’t believe that Rog
Light blue touchpaper and retire to a safe distance.!!!

not quite - it might INITIALY be funny but the moment that it becomes clear that the child is hurt then it is NOT FUNNY any more and most will then feel a sense of shame for laughing in the first place.
The story in the link made it clear that chilren were hurt so at no point is it funny

Ha ha…you shot yourself in the foot there Rog…you say initially its funny but then when you know more it might not be funny…well when I heard a bus crashed into a bridge I laughed.
i drive a lot around leic’s in truck but cant picture that bridge where is it in town anyone
I like a laugh , I really do , but NOTHING i saw in that video was funny in any way Adam . There were 52 schoolkids on that bus (Sky News). How those on the top deck weren’t killed is a miracle .
It was right to post the video as an example to us all as " proffessional " drivers , but maybe not prudent to laugh about it .
Just my opinion you understand

It’s just off Waterloo Way, the inner ring road, which is between the train station and the Tigers rugby ground (roughly)

I think not - If it was obvious that a child was hurt when falling off a bicycle then no laughing at all but if not obvious then it may initialy be funny until it became clear that an injury had occured - I see no confusion in that - just being realistic
The point being made in his thread was that someone thought it was funny when the initial info was that children HAD been hurt !!
