Don’t waste your time. I’ve spent the best part of Easter Sunday evening reading it, I had to give up before the end. All was not lost, I learned a fair bit.
I learned that as with the 15 speed, he’s also never driven a T/S, yet insists that on telling real driver, who have years of experience, that he can do it better and they’re doing it wrong. He actually can’t use any RoadRanger properly.
I’d suggest he does his “no skill or qualifications” car relocation job, is because he doesn’t have to wrestle with range changes, splitters or non-syncro 'boxes, all of which he has problems with.
Ever noticed how he vehemently claims to hate syncro and auto boxes? It’s a case of ‘protest to much’, they’re the only type he can use.
I’ve always given Carryfast the benefit of the doubt, finding it hard to believe what he appears to be saying, when in actual fact one needs to focus on what he is not saying. He’ll lead you to a point where the natural assumption is that he has skills, experience, qualifications etc., etc., that he only dreams he had.
On the linked thread, he was outrightly called a liar. If someone called me a liar, I wouldn’t be able to leave it alone until I got to the bottom of the wrongful accusation. Not Carryfast, he stands back or ignores it, waiting for the post to be buried. Look at how he’s avoiding the “Black is White” thread, he cannot explain his conflicting timelines and excuses.
His claimed engineering background is actually a failed/incomplete apprenticeship.
He became a “test driver” as soon as he gained his licence, later letting it slip that he was just a works driver; in other words a storeman/driver.
A commendation for attendance, really do employers treat all their workers in such a juvenile way? Like the precious safe driving award, gold stars that you’d expect as a grade two school kid, for merely doing the right thing.
Really Carryfast, your time is up, you’ve been well and truly called out. Sorry if I’m not as polite as the other good gentlemen here, who just roll their eyes and carry on.
I was suckered in and actually believe all the stories and as you said he got caught out.
It’s like a crown court case with a defendant not having legal representation in court to save paying an advocate/solicitor or a barrister, the prosecution will scrutinise all the facts of the case, to get a not guilty conviction by the jury you either have to be a dam good liar because if you forget the lies the prosecution win the case as the defendant has lost all credibility with the jury and the judge.
At least we’ll get a week of peace while Carryfast lays low, waiting for the awkward questions to go away.
I’ve pointed that out to him before and he claimed it to being the moderators holding up his posts ,in pre-mod.
Hated it too many button changes. Just my opinion
I think I just said what everyone else is thinking.
Jesus, dont mention Yugoslavia! You’ll set him off again.
That will be a week of arguing.
But it’s free entertainment.
He should be running for the next prime minister or ideally a transport minister, to replace Heidi.
Wouldn’t know one end of a truck backwards.
I have never known or met anyone like this in my career in the transport industry.
Is this the reason why newly qualified young drivers pull in to park up at the truck stop then immediately pull shut their cab curtains to not socialise with other drivers after a 15 hour shift just in case he is lurking inside the cafe?
Notice how quiet he’s gone?
Who’s the liar here.
The person who actually did the job or the Australian heckler talking zb from 12,000 miles away who wasn’t even there and doesn’t know me.
I started an engineering apprenticeship which I abandoned by my own choice, because I preferred to be a driver. There was no ‘failure’ involved in that ‘choice’.Pass with credit at that point.
Works driver covers all driving duties required by the ‘works’.In my case starting with non HGV vehicles and actually being a combination of ‘stores’ runs around the country with Transit and 7.5 tonner and movement and road testing of chassis and/or finished vehicles in the non HGV sector like Land Rover and American Dodge RIV’s.
Then the firm put me through HGV2 at their expense.Passed first time after two week course.
We had and used NO HGV vehicles for stores runs.
As for the confusion over the 15 speed ironically it’s because I know the bleedin difference between a range change and a splitter and foolishly believed those who I thought would know better and even worse a 15 speed range change box, with low mid and high ranges, being described as deep reduction, low range and high range by its manufacturer.
You protest laughably too much. You asked for a defence against your lies You got it.
He’s done a Paul Daniels and vanished.
Not my lies, yours. I’ve simply stitched together various stories presented by you. Looking at the complemation, it has more holes than a WW ll army blanket. You omit more than you tell, skewing the narrative wrongly in your favour. To eliminate any confusion, let’s start from the beginning.
Started, but failed to compete. The description is deliberately misleading, apprentice what? Mechanical fitter, heavy vehicle mechanic, machinist or something else? Completion of any apprenticeship does not qualify one as an engineer, that is a degree qualification from a university.
When we have this cleared up we can move on to your next super human chapter.
Or Lord Lucan.
No you deliberately falsified the details that I provided to fit some personal vendetta.
Ironically my first year qualification C and G mechanical engineering was more than any formal engineering qualification that my Father had when he was called up from making artillery armaments in a factory and assigned to the REME, on the front line, in Italy, in WW2.
He certainly never had or needed any bs degree qualifications then or during his following career as an engineer until retirement.
A design engineer ideally needs a degree. The people that actually make the things that they design, on the shop floor, don’t.
Those skills are just as important especially before the days of CNC machines let alone having to fix stuff in a REME field workshop in a war zone.
Walked away with a C and G pass with credit, to do something else more suited like driving a truck, ain’t a failure.
So someone put a drawbar outfit in a ditch.WTF has that got to do with me.
How can I falsify information that you have provided? All I have done is repeat and question your statements.
Not a vendetta by a long chalk, but I do take offense to having my intelligence being underestimated, expecting me to believe your nonsense.
What is C & G mechanical engineering?
FFS man, that was during WW ll, you weren’t born when/if that happened. Many pleasantries and formalities fell by the wayside when Britain was on the back foot.
So now we’re getting to the nub of it, proper qualifications are bullc rap, anyone should be allowed to claim to be an engineer, or doctor, or test driver?
The difference between the two being the former designs something that works safely, within a given parameter and the latter knocks something up that looks like it might work, it could be over-engineered or an under-engineered death trap. Clearly you have no idea what is involved in true engineering.
OK, worked out C&G, we don’t have that here. So you weren’t an apprentice, you were studying at university, presumably part time, while working at the fire engine factory. After only completing a single year, albeit with a credit, which is only an average pass, you decided you didn’t need the other 80% of the course content to assume the title of engineer.
OMG Carryfast, you spend too much time with your head buried in Boys Own comics.
I’d call only doing one fifth of a course, then calling yourself qualified, as a failure in the highest magnetude.
I fear a thread flounce coming along.
