Hi Gaz

It was taken at the Bloxham Steam Fair in Summer 2010 - It isn’t a worker as far as I know - I’ve never seen it before or since.

Have you any info on it?

If you look at the Tour Truck Photos thread, you’l see a picture of her there.

Don’t know who owned it from new but an Owner Driver, Glyn Mount used to sub for Atkinson Sanders with her on R&R. I think he had her until about '89 when he got a new F10.

Hiya …that volvo would do me fine a bit of ERF hear and there i’ll not harm how well she’ll go.
at a firm i worked for we fitted a leyland valve on the brake system…we got them stopping on tanner
but you could’nt see the valve like this tank.

remember that Panalpina had a fully trimmed cab sat in their workshop in Hull years after they stopped running them and started running Mercs. Frank Bramley will have had that one away

that one finished running out of Bradford

where is it know

As far as I remember it went to the auctions when Bradford got Mercs.
The cab was fitted to RKH 648R.

Used to be based down at Darlaston.

Thats by the Coach and horses [now a Beefeater] on the A48 Castleton between Cardiff and Newport, just up the road from where Walls garage was in those days.
And, NO, Rowly they haven’t still got that truck or any bits of it [before you ask  ]
