some great F88s here
Some great pictures on here the f88 was abit before my time but if my numbers come up on the lotto it would be the first thing I would look for. I use the A17 a lot and there used to be one parked up behind a bungalow all sheeted up only know it’s an 88 as I see it one day with the sheet off I think it’s still there but trees have grown up abit now
i remember when my dad drove one of em,loved it,

Step one - make sure your batteries are fully charged!!

Hi Andrew i’m good thanx, i’m sure the early F10s were 260s & 278s, then the mk2s from A reg onwards were 299s.
Where’s Patrick Dyer when you need him, that should be his next bookThe F10 I drove regularly was certainly 278 and that was on an X plate
it was the f10 that had a 240 load lugger in mate
I am sure that the first F10s were 240 and 278 on the “S” & “T” reg. as a mate of mine had a new F12 “W” reg which was 305 bhp on Prosper Demulders at Doncaster, and they went up in power after 2 or 3 years
cheers Johnnie

Spot on, I owned a Treg 240 F10 with a 16 speed box, I followed that with an Xreg 330 F12. The 305 engine in the F12 was designated a ‘Load Lugger’ (TD120Ga I think) and became available when the 385 intercooler was made available in F12’s other than the Globetrotter cabbed versions, the 385’s had the 12 speed SR70 box behind it and made a very nice combination of power & gear ratios.
While the 240 was a bit gutless in Spain @ 40 tons it always got me home despite getting a little warm coming up La Jonqera
Ross.
