This Volvo is a Volvo without turbo because it have a shiny iron make and if I’m right it has a D96-engine at 165 HP. It is a former SJ-truck (Swedish Railway)

Hey FH, Nice pics continue, Especially the blue/yellow one. But this one without sleeper, and only two years in production without turbo.
The engine was an D100B with 200HP,very few were sold still less as the non sleepers.
And as you said the blue/yellow is a very early one '66■■? We had a '65 and it didn’t have still the steps on the wings.
Cheers Eric,

Jimsky. Love the idea of you making an Oryx model!I have looked through my pictures but I don’t have too much that will help you but here they are anyway. The logo on the door was just a stylized MB (owner was called Mohammed Bahar). On the trailer was Oryx Freightlines Ltd in English and Arabic, an Oryx (which is a small deer that lives in the desert) and Europe Middle East with an arrow kind of thing on one side. The MB logo was on the front and back flap of the tilt along with an Oryx. All the units were 6 wheelers, some double drive and some lift axle. Sorry I can’t give you a better picture.

No idea, I just straightened out one of tubbyboys snaps.
Are you talking about the white and green one Harry? There was a 141 on the same firm with a similar loft conversion.

Hiya Newcomerman…no not the ones with a box on top of the cab, i live near Chester, i think the green and white volvo/scania
come from Shropshire i think. the one i asked about looked quite good, there,s a crusader on the Scammell site with a F88 cab
welded on to it i was wondering if the same chap did both lorries.

Hi all a few months back I asked about a pic taken of two Volvos parked up in the desert one F89 and one F88 that started me going thinking of building a model of the orange F89, David Miller was kind enough to tell me a bit about the company called Oryx Freight Lines, and so I decided to do a model of Davids truck GKO 190N .
Hope you like it.
Just the airlines to hook up when it goes on its mounting base.
Regards Jimski.
Well done Jim, yet another brilliant model of exceptional standard.
Love the detail and you,ve certainly got the weathering to a fine art.
