Those KC Williamson motors were some of the tidiest on the road in their day.
They never slept much though.

Both trucks are a credit to you both. Very nice. Got any pictures of the chassis in paint?
Hi iain,
The trucks look fantastic, well done for all the hard graft that it took to make them shine again. A flat top F10 would complete the line up -
Yes very well done,it goes to show a good clean paint job is just as good as a mural.Striking…
p.s a flat top Volvo F10 would be a great bonus also or this…

Wingnut’s name is Allen mate, the Iain’s Pride writing was put on for it’s first road run as a mark of respect for the previous owner who died in a car accident while out collecting parts for the Truck
Hi Chaps,
I’m new to this forum. I was pointed in this direction by one of the chap’s on the Truck Model World forum, as he thought you guys may be able to help me.
I’m looking to build a model of a particular Volvo F12 Globetrotter that I remember seeing regularly when I was a child.
The vehicle in question was a F12 Globetrotter called “Mr Bumble”. I lived in a small village called Horringer, which is just to the south west of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. I used to regularly see “Mr Bumble” travelling through the village with a low loader behind it. I think it was based locally, but not totally sure. I don’t know who operated it, weather it was part of a fleet, or an owner driver operated vehicle. The time period I’m going back to is between 1980 and 1985, as that is when I attended the village primary school, and was when walking to and from school that I used to see it.
I can’t remember weather it was a 4x2 or 6x4 chassis, or what colour it was.
All I can remember was that it looked and sounded awesome, and left a long lasting impression on me, hence I want to build a model of it.
I have had a good look through this thread and haven’t seen any reference to “Mr Bumble”, but hoping someone on here may remember it, be able to help me, or even have a photo of it.
Many thanks in advance,
Charlie

Thank you for the link Irish Lorries, it was a very interesting and nostalgic read, unfortunately no sign of “Mr Bumble” though.
Cheers,
Charlie
I still prefer twin round headlights to the later ones with square gold fish bowls.

BEST I CAN DO.
It isn’t exactly a Volvo is it. Looks a bit more like one of them Kenworth back breakers. Is that the Burry St Edmonds Sugar beat factory in the background.
