Hi all here is a pic of an early F12 i owned , it was with Cavewood from new before i had it and was LHD, this was in the early 80s and i had it converted with a granning real lift axle by Hartshorne in Birmingham in 1983 when the weights went up to 38 tons the reg was HWL 972 S.

Hej bma, that is a very small Combine by todays standards, with a very small Header on he trailers swan neck. Are the Finish fields small? But the Volvo is beautiful, my pal Bill Holding, (73yrs), still runs a “flat top” F12, with twin headlights at 100tonnes!! …Old Volvos never die!! Great photo, thanks, (from another, “past the sell by date”), Cheerio for now.

I always thought they look better as a 4 x 2 or with a tag axle. For me the pusher/mid lift looked odd, like it was a total afterthought.
