Dunno but yesterday I saw a veolia lorry on the M27 with blue flashing lights on the top front corners of the trailer like a police lorryâ– â– ?
I been told the class 1 walking floor drivers at veolia do Monday to Thursday shifts… 48 hour contract and get salary pay of £38,000?

Pay sounds about right, but thinks its a 4 on 2 off shift pattern. I’m not on for them, but have worked out of some of their yards when they’re busy/ in need of trucks. From speaking with some of them, you don’t always work for the depot your based at, ie 1st load from Stoke, then into other depot and deliveries before back to Stoke to preload or park up.

Sure they were flashers? a lot of stuff in quarries and land fills have a blue light shining down at the ground as a visible no entry zone around it. Some forklifts in warehouses have them on the rear too so you can see it reversing out of a lane.

Just update
I been told, a class 2 driver works Monday to Thursday 48 hours a week. His salary is £38,000 a year minimum.
He does 1 or 2 , class 1 work per week.
Trucks washed at motorway services only. As they don’t jet wash in depot?
Is this about right or is someone telling me porkies?
I have never heard of a class 2 Job that is only 4 days a week and get Friday, Saturday and Sunday off with salary of £38,000 a year without nights out
Based in Stoke
Yeah ^^^^ that’s entirely possible and certainly not in the realms of fantasy. Go have a word with them, you may love it or you may hate it, but you’ll never know until you ask the questions.
Personally it sounds like it’ll be food service stuff which I’d hate, but others love.
When I was at asda we used to containers of food waste collected by them. When you walked past the container, the smell was that bad,you literally couldnt breathe.
It’s not going to be a waste contract if they are washing the wagons on the services!

Yh I can imagine that

You got a point, I can’t see Stafford services do a thorough cleaning of the wagons after carrying rubbish all day
That wouldnt stop my applying for the job though.Theres always been something I dont like, whether its heavy lifting or time pressure and so on

It must be bad if its worse than that.I just cant imagine anything smelling as bad as that food waste
It’s good idea to wash your car on motorway if attending a special occasion long distance, but I can’t imagine them charging a fiver for a wash and dry for a car lol
