Vaping in your truck, RDC do you do it

And yet you’ll happily sit on the road all day breathing in other people’s exhaust gases??

That’s not too far away from my response when a non smoker has gone out of their way to stand near me when I’m smoking; I usually respond to their bleating about their right to breathe fresh air by asking them how they reconcile that with happily driving through a town centre with their exhaust pipe at exactly the right height to blow their filth into the faces of toddlers and kids in push chairs (well someone had to play the “think of the children” card!) Of course that’s not the same thing they’ll say. What they really mean is do as I say, not as I do.

So you must be the idiot that makes your kids sit in the car while you puff your death smoke into their faces ? Great parent and role model they must be so proud of you …

for those not to sure if the e-cigatte is for them

i have just got an ecig. I was getting through 25 plus a day, but now i only buy 10, and use my ecig when i run out. Hoping to be smoke free by Xmas

It isnt the nicotine that harms anyone, it is like sucking on a lettuce, it is addictive but not carcinogenic :stuck_out_tongue:

Decided to get myself one last week after trying to quit smoking numerous times. Ive had chronic sinus problems for the last couple of years that’s given me constant headaches and vision problems all caused by smoking. I feel much much better already and I haven’t had any desire to smoke a ■■■ since, long may it last.

‘smoking’ an e-cig whilst refuelling with inflammables has to be a bit dodgy.
Surely there is a chance of a spark etc from the heating element in the vapour producer, in much the same way as from a mobile phone.
i know that the power is negligible but all the same…

have been vaping for a while now after a lifetime of heavy smoking . i do it to help myself , but certainly not near flammable vapours ,too risky . what i don’t understand is the attitude of those that want to ban them out of hand . ’ OOH LOOK something that gives pleasure , ban it immediately ! i try not to object if people eat garlic and breath their foul fumes near me , i move away from them where possible . i wonder how the whingers would react to a total ban on alcohol , another harmful drug . i try to be considerate with my vaping , if it offends you stand near someone else .

The vast majority of the anti smoking brigade always loved to jump on their high horse and moan and whinge at smokers. Very little to do with health reasons more because they hated to see anyone else enjoy themselves. They can still be found outside in the summer months trying to place themselves near smokers so they could have a good old whinge.

Things have been quiet for them though since the smoking ban and now vaping is becoming quite common place they love nothing more than to try and put a stop to that as well, perhaps it gives them new purpose in life.

Out of respect for these folk I will avoid vaping in areas where theres likely to be a few sanctimonious whinge bags (mainly for their safety in case the wife kicks off).
Bet most of them are vegetarians but don’t get me started on these species traitors, with their quorn shaped sausages

I gave up smoking nearly 6 years ago with the aid of Champix, but now am getting more and more urges to light up again, and am ending up snacking more and more to take my mind off it. Was thinking about trying vaping instead, but not knowing the first thing about it - do they all contain nicotine (would rather not get hooked on it again), or can you get nicotine-free versions?

Gary

Think it may be possible to get the 0mg nicotine stuff and still give you that throat hit feeling that ciggies used to do.

One concern I do have is that kids are starting to vape (thinking its cool) been down this road before when my stupid younger 11 year old self deceided to smoke.

I’m still not 100% sure if its totally safe but its got to be safer than smoking.

All the liquids sold on e-bay are nicotine free AFAIK.

I have always been a smoker, and when the smoking ban came in, i bought an E ciggie, just to fool people, i have tried a few times to give up, and ended up putting on a lot of weight, so i am now back to smoking, and since retiring, am still putting on a lot of weight, so a gym membership is a good idea as its very cheap for pensioners, and free if you get a letter off of the doctor, and you get a personal trainer. In all honesty i enjoy smoking a real ciggie, and thats my choice, i have never objected to anyone smoking around me because i am a smoker myself, and that still applied when i gave up using Champix. I keep saying to myself that i want to stop, but i`ll take my chances, and its great when in my other home in BG, as they have completely ignored the smoking ban, and patrons can and do smoke everywhere, including restaurants, which is great for smokers, but not so good for non smokers

Nope. Some of the vaping kits you buy say they are nicotine free, that just means they come without any juice.

I bought 2 twin packs of vaping things (the unit) for something like £16 each and 5 bottles of mixed juices (you choose which ones you want) for something like £12. So for under £60 I have 4 of the things, all with a different flavour in them.

I’m currently vaping mango, B&H flavour, grape and icy lime (my favourite) in fact I still have the odd ■■■, purely and simply out of habit, and part way through, I usually think that I’d not bothered and had a blast of icy lime instead.

eBay numbers for anyone interested

For machines 141229218489

Juice 141233363731

Just seen they do nicotine free.

There probably is better kit out there, but I think it’s pretty good value to see if it’s your thing or not.

One thing I do, to limit myself is only vape where I used to smoke. Not smoked in the house for years, so I don’t vape in it. Wouldn’t vape inside a pub etc either. I’m doing it to replace my smoking, not augment it.

as far as I know ebay will not allow products containing nicotine or tobacco related products so all (or at least most)are nicotine free

And i’m pretty sure nicotine patches contain nicotine which are also available on ebay, you are right though tobacco products are banned! Well apart from tobacco seeds which are legal to buy to use to grow your own, although HMRC do expect a cut of the crop once the leaves are dried and shredded and ready to smoke!

if you read the ebay ad for those numbers, the seller gives no option to select which nicotine level, so i don’t see how you could order 18mg etc. the only option is for flavours.
Also the pic shows only 0 mg bottles.
