Yep thanks. The work’s good on the whole. There’s some room for improvement with VDB, but they’re far from being the worst bunch to work for. Things have been running along fairly well.

You’re 100% correct there is one off the trucks registred when we where based in Mirfield (later Ferrybridge)

Mirfield? There’s a tanker place there already, over the river. Forget the name now but they run FM12s. I was offered a job there once but I pulled out in the end. Was literally 5 mins walk away from where I was living.

Patterson tankers, no VdB took them over, they put another Dutch Manager in, and I left, because I can only listen to a certain amount of crap
At that point the yard was already sold for housing, and the company (Patterson / VdB) moved to Ferrybridge beside the Powerstation.
The Patterson yard was a old railway yard, the sheds had cast iron beams inside.
Sara Battey (nee Patterson) was in charge and was a pleasant person to work with.
The move from Mirfield, different point of view to operate business did this take over no good, and the loses started to pile up, good reason to close it.
