That depended which planner you got 
True but that time the most planners knew the crack, and as long as you loaded in time, there was no problem.
They couldn’t find you anyway as we didn’t have mobile phone or tracking, was al phonebox work.
Had that time a F10 280bhp with a 500M3 silo compressor.
If you where lucky and had bneen a good boy that week, they would send you from there empty to Burgos to load Metheonine for Holland.
The first time it happened, I had a planner who was very short on the phone:
Me – I’am empty in Ieper
Planner – trip xxxxx load in Burgos for Erp
me – OK
Planner – bye
5 Minutes later I realised what he had said and thought he must think that i’m in the South of France or something.
phoned him back:
Me – Hi its me again, I’m in Belgium and Burgos is in Spain
Planner – better start moving than, bye

Maybe in the UK, but defiantly not on the continent.
But again there is more respect from both parties.
But if you think the whole day that your planner is a William Anker, he will be at the end.
Been on both sides of the desk and if you give a planner respect, he will give you respect, and also the othe way around.
But in the UK you are than an ■■■ licker or a blue eyed boy.
