Had a work mate that went from Washington - Bridgeend not a prob via the seven bridge he did call the boss & ask how to pay it & would he get the money back :unamused:

I don’t get your point there? Did he call because he was asking if they had a tag? Or was he wondering if it went on fuel card? Does your company not normally pay tolls?

Company would normally pay tolls but why use the seven bridge rather than the M50 A449 to M4 much quicker shorter & simpler

Was it whilst the M50 junction of the M5 was shut? Was a pain in the harris that, I was running down to Cardiff at the time, and if I follewed the A roads then I wouldn’t have made the trip, so a phone call to the boss (we had severn tags anyway) to say that I’d be using the toll and explain why, he said no probs. Manchester to Cardiff and back is a good old run, now I know he was obviously tramping from Washington, but if other work is planned and timed tightly, then I’d have been tempted to use the toll too.
Assuming you observe the speed limits over the A449, then there’s absolutely no time difference in it.

Nope was about 8 year ago when asked why he went that way he asked which other way was there to Wales apart form going through North Wales & down this guy was often sent abroad as well :unamused:

We didnt have tags for that or any other but boss would happy pay tolls at times we got before we went out although this was not alway poss so either got when back or in pay at end of week as expenses
