Useless Drivers

animal:
Take it most of us have been useless at some time or another

Some will admit more than others

There’s not a driver alive who never ****** up, nothing wrong when finding out that an certain individual has dropped one to make his or her life miserable for a little while.

Yep I know of a driver who did mess up ( dont think he on here but a driver for same comp is ) how do I know

Well I put him right & got him out of it then phoned 1 of his colleague so we could have a laugh

Tell you what unknown person i’m beginning to love you , you make mistakes, you admit them, you sound intelligent (sometimes) do you want to marry me and it will be the first Truck Net coupling ever. As long as you are not a [zb] Mackem.

A quick one, its Friday night the lotterys failed us, i’ve been out in Fuengirola and i’m ■■■■■■■ but some time ago there was a whale boat in at Immingham and they are massive. A fortnight to tip and all for Pedigree Petfoods at Melton Mowbray. I’m not on the job but i got a phone call from Les Clark Transport on saturday Griffo run us a container of this ■■■■ to salvo’s at Easton on sunday, I can’t Les i’m way out of hours and no spare driver and i’m away Monday early.
Griff let Ray take it, he is up for his test in a fortnight, he is a good driver but he is a bit thick, he is our dock driver and he will do it for FA sorry nothing and your motor will earn 350 pounds.
You have talked me into it Clarky ok but please Griff ask him questions on the way about driving cos he has failed it twice on daft things.
I had F88 290 and i met Ray on Sunday morning and yes he was a good driver and i had been out Saturday night so was a bit hungover so i let him drive to Lincoln before i asked him any questions, before the bypass ever existed it was through the city, down Lindum hill over the flyover and under the railway bridge and it was then the first question
Ray what was the height of that bridge. What bridge Roger, I gave up.
We arrived at Easton at Salvo’s and there was 20 of us so at dinner time someone suggested the pub at Colsterworth what a great idea Ray stayed to tip the wagon and i went with the lads Magical dinner. 6 pints later i am back at Salvo’s and tipped (Remember i was not driving unnamed person) and we are on our way home.
Right Ray i am f----d and i am going to sleep you know your way home, its turn right at Newark on the A46 and keep going its about 1 and a half hours do your best, no probs rog.
2 hrs later i awoke we are in a lay by,the lay by is in the middle of a f-----g forest. Ray where are we . I dont know Rog i got lost. Ray how long have we been here, over an hour Rog. Ray why didnt you wake me. cos i thought you might get mad and think i was stupid. Ray am i that bloody bad turn this damned lorry round and lets find ourselves.
We were in Sherwood Forest, we came out at Ollerton roundabout made our way through Retford Gainsborough and Caenby Corner and got home. Les Clark rang me the next week and said how did Ray get on my answer was "he is a good driver but if he passes his test and you employ him make sure you route him where there are no bridges and make sure all his booking times are elastic.
So unnamed person you are not the only one many people f–k up.

No it won’t.
There are three couples I know of who got together through TruckNetUK
I learned earlier that one couple will be having having their second baby, due in a little under 9 months.

Congratulations to them btw

Anyone else find it slightly ironic that this good news is on the ‘Useless Drivers’ thread?

Many congrats to both… Makes a pleasant change to hear good news

Pimpdaddy:
I think I’m one of them…

Made me grin

Had a fella at my last work take a van load of plastic to Hayes Middlesex from Camberley Surrey. He was gone about 4 and half hours and when he got back he produced a receipt from the Dartford crossing to get reimbursed.

i’ve often asked for a receipt at dartford, but they don’t issue them.

Indeed, they’ll give you a leaflet with the prices on it and even if necessary jot the date and time at the top or in the margin of when you went through!

Yep, no reciepts at dartford crossing, or most other tolls to be honest…

M6 Toll you can get a receipt - if you pay by card and press the button on the machine. Ask in the Kiosk and be met with a look of disgust and contempt!

It was about 7 years ago. I didn’t think they issued receipts either, only herd the story I when I got back.

A colleague went to Manchester from Coventry one morning via the M1. Pre SatNav days and he’d got mixed up :astonished:

We all make mistakes. Perhaps the guy that went via Dartford turned the wrong way onto the M25 :astonished:

It always baffles me how people get lOst on the M25 it’s a circle. Even if you go the wrong way just turn round at the next junction.

Or keep going all the way round

I don’t get your point there? Did he call because he was asking if they had a tag? Or was he wondering if it went on fuel card? Does your company not normally pay tolls?
