People always jump the gun when vehicles go missing 90% of the time its never the driver its loose lipped warehouse staff or ■■■■ traffic staff between tappy and my transport manager i have pictures of every thing i have ever owned which some say is sad i quite like it that load was not copper it was air ducting pipe to which i have moved about 250 loads in the last year i=this was someone after the unit where its gone under the hot spanner and is on its way to a hot country now but my trailer and those creates are out there some where out there on a industrial estate or another truck park they were no good to any one remember the last few years the country has exported ■■■■■■■■■ of 4 series scania to other countries and now they need parts so it makes them very theft attracalble same as a few years ago mercs were. A local firm to me shut shop a few years ago after losing 5 merc sk cabs in 6 weeks so less forget tappy and find my trailer and if it dont come back then were worry about tappy lol lol
I’ve been around Southend, Rochford and Canvey all week and not seen it, will continue to keep eyes peeled though.
Chin up Tapmeister and thanks to Mrs T for the update
Big Al
i had a look around southampton docks this week and never saw anything, also tried having a look at the exports part as i went past on the ferry where they load all the old bangers for export but didnt see a red scania, plenty of white ones though…
will keep my eyes peeled everywhere i go though
c mon then tappy the silence is deafing, what happened and whats happened since.

maybe he’s been told to say nothing for the moment, after all it’s an open forum and anyone and everyone could be taking an interest. As long as Tappy’s ok thats all that matters .
Had a load of scrap in the back of my trailer Friday…sure it looked familiar!
I reckon its just won the Kenyan truck show 09
unlikely to be found now it’ll be resprayed and exported or dismantled by now

i think it would have been in europe by daylight, more chance of euromat spotting it now than anybody else.
Or it could still be in Essex, parked in an empty industrial unit, the idea being that if its fitted with a tracker, and its not found after a week or two, the coast will be clear to move it on.

i think that professional truck thieves would ripe the tracker out before they did anything else.

i once saw a program, where a camera watched proffesional truck thieves strip a tractor unit to boxed form in 30 mins flat.im hoping that it is found parked on an industrial estate minus its load now(best case scenario),as for some of the comments on here with regard to leaving a truck for 8 hours,so what.i know its not written anywhere in my contract that i must stay with my vehicle loaded or not overnight,as long as it was secured,i dont see any problems.
The earlier comment about leaving the truck unattended for 8 hours is well out of order, a Tacho break is only a break if you have freedom to do as you please and have rest near, with or away from the vehicle if this is your choice.
Whats wrong is not being able to leave your truck, we’re not security guards as well!
This thread just reminded me, one of Haywards parked his Scania in a layby at Waltham Abbey about 12 months ago, went for a pint came out and the lot was gone. The truck was not a particularly good one and all he was carrying was wax. Never seen again since.

I remember one of my old bosses being all pleased about his lorries getting trackers fitted… Was telling me about all thier benefits if the truck was stolen…
He wasn’t too amused when I removed three screws in the cab and showed him the tracker unit… The installers of these devices are creatures of habit.
Just to give you an update, the police came out yesterday to take a statement. They have on notes that there was a raid somewhere in Essex but they are yet to confirm if it was his truck they found.
Will keep you informed as soon as we hear anything.
Mrs T
PS Sorry Tappy not about he is still coming to terms with what has happened and at the moment is just keeping busy to keep his mind off what they may have done with his truck.
Thanks for the update
Taking someones heart is bad and it must be like that with tappys truck
Hello, Mrs. Tappy.
Let’s hope that it was Tappy’s truck that the police found and there’s no damage to it.
Please tell Tappy we’re thinking of him

ditto
why can,t the police use the camera systems to trace the movement,s of stolen vehicles especially in this instance
were told we are on cctv a large proportion of our working day
we know were the truck was parked a guide time of when it went and let,s face it tappys wagon certainly stand,s out in the dark plus with a low loader trailer and big wooden box .just hope who stole it went through a speed camera might give the police a clue
also in these circumstances were they travel to steal a truck isn,t there normally a car used to follow the truck in case it,s stopped if they could pick that up on cctv maybe it could be linked to other instances
hope you get your truck back TAPPY good luck
