It just might be that ‘Tappy’ has got a lot more to deal with at the moment than keeping us updated on his predicament.
If we take the fact that he has shown his profile location as Essex and for the night out he has been able to park near home and then taken a pic of his truck and load to put on the forum at a later date and, then come 4.30 in the morning after a night in his own bed?, the truck and load have been nicked.
I would have thought that ‘Tappy’ might have rung the local plod first and then his employer and then whilst waiting for the shiz to hit the fan put the previous night’s pic’s onto the forum to see if anyone could help, might have seen anything or even seen his truck overnight.
It’s always been the case that the driver is the first suspect when a load goes missing so for all we know he might still be in the police station ‘helping with enquiry’s’ and until we hear something from ‘Tappy’ none of us know what has really gone on apart from the fact that his truck and load has been nicked.
It might sound dodgy to some folk but I’m sure there are a lot of us on here who have taken the opportunity to have night in a real bed and not in the cab and not given it a second thought when we have just gone back to the place the motor had been parked and driven off. It must be traumatic to get there at 4.30am and the whole thing has disappeared.
marky:
I’m a little dismayed by some of the presumptious comments that have been added to this thread so far.
Nobody knows whether the wagon was left unattended, neither does anyone know for certain what was in the timber boxes on the back. For all any of us knows, Tappy could’ve been thumped over the head, slung out of the wagon and left at the roadside in the dark, not knowing what had happened to him until later.
A sobering thought, best left for everyone to ponder over before any more salacious conclusions are jumped-to.
What & been out cold for exactly 8 hours , i do understand what your point is marky in relation to some comments posted.
But it seems that the wagon has been left unattended, maybe he was parked up for an hour waiting for a lift & then 2030 till 0430 would of been the rest of his 9 hrs off. But if he had of been attacked & only realised at 0430 im sure the last thing you would think of doing would be going on trucknet at 0519am to post a thread due to the traumatic situation he would of been through, i must agree with others on here that it does not all add up( the photo etc…). But the man himself has not been on here to set the record straight since posting has he.
Presumptious■■? maybe…closer to the truth■■? definatley…
The facts are that the wagon & load are gone. The driver asked for help finding it again. In the meantime, some people have taken it upon themselves to imply that the driver was guilty of being involved in the theft while not in possession of the facts.
If its proven Tappy had nothing to do with the theft, I’d say certain comments on this thread are close to (if not actual) defamation of character.
In the meantime, it seems an open & shut case according to GAV. After all - how could we possibly know anything about anything? He obviously already knows it all (either that or he’s involved in a weird ■■■■■■■■■ with Mystic Meg and Gypsy Petulengro…)
some of you need to grow up and stop implying things about tappy, hes a sound guy and tbh whats he gonna gain from getting his own truck and load nicked when he spent all that time getting his truck to the way it is?
until we hear from tappy just shut the hell up about what happened and stay on the lookout for the truck
If any of you know Tappy you will know he is a bit of a wizzard for pictures and facebook for what he has lost in the vehicle of his own you wouldnt be saying the stupid comments on here about him i think hes been a ■■■■ and he shouldnt of done it but hes not the first and he wont be the last you have all done it once in your life and the big creates were in fact plastic pipes so unless you cant put anything positive dont put anything

Why are people upset with the word thickos?
Not so much upset by it Mickey. Just did not think that it should be applied to people who can have a Waggon and Trailer away, possibly to a value of £100,000.Which has so far not been traced. Attached to which were 2 boxes, which if as has been suggested might contain, perhaps 25 ton of copper cable of a total value of somewhere near in excess of £50,000.
People like that can be called many things. “Thick” is in my humble opinion, not one of them.
I am not surprised that Tappy has gone quiet on this. As the vehicle was apparently left unattended for 8 hours, between the hours already stated, then someone, Either Tappy or his Boss is facing a very major financial loss.
You have a good point Buycrider about the word “Thick” because it takes guts to take a wagon and drive of with it with a load on the back but i mean it in general because they will get caught one day
With tappy just hope he is fine and did not get hurt by the offenders.
Plase read this carefully to be sure there is no misunderstanding. The truck and trailer were taken as pictured. Poor lad has lost all his gear. Discussing the circumstances of the motor being un attended does not serve any purpose. Please remember that none of us know who reads these pages. If you are un clear as to where i’m coming from, Pm me.
I haven’t been put up to this post, this is of my own doing.
will keep a look out on way to hull ferry monday night. not much but will keep a scan. stop the implications gents, a fellow member has had his pride and joy nicked by some lowlife. circumstances to how it went have nothing to do with us. stick together and hopefully some thing will turn up.
Thanks Rob I think people get twichy when nothing else is posted.
I’m glad someone has had contact with him just to let everyone know he’s ok.
Saw one of the lads with the same paint job as tappys the other day knew it wernt tappys rig as it was dirty ish
been running some back routes on my regular run but nothing not even a pile of wood.
Tell him chin up mate. Its a long process sortin out what you got in your truck when your floating around.
fozzie:
everyone should read the post again it says tappys truck was stolen not my truck
in my opinion it wasnt tappy who wrote this it was possibly his wife?
Yep you obviously don’t skim read, it was me Mrs T. Tappy was currently busy speaking to his boss and police so I sent the message.
Thanks to those who have put messages of support on here.
Buycrider:
Have I got this right? Tappy,s name is in the window. We haven,t been told this yet, but it would seem that the driver (presumably Tappy), left the vehicle unattended in a layby, at the side of a road in Essex., at 8/30 pm. Spent the night somewhere else. Came back at 0430, and found that the vehicle had gone. Did the trailer with the two ginormous boxes on go as well? When was the picture taken, and Why??.If the vehicle, with or without the trailer is not found, I would not like to be the person filling in the insurance claim. The first thing that they will be asking is, Where was the driver? Good Luck Tappy. I sincerely hope that you get it back.
Mickey Blue, who if i am correct is a PCSO, states in his post, “these people are thick”,. Yeah! Right on there Officer. They grab a vehicle, possibly complete with trailer loaded with 2 great boxes, and disappear; As yet the outfit has not been traced. It is now possibly sitting at Frankfurt-en-Oder waiting to go to its new home in Poland, Rumania, or Bulgaria. Thick?? I don,t think so.
I wondered that myself but then I would probably have done the same and filed it under interesting loads.
If you knew Tappy you would not think this unusual in any way, he has hundreds of photo’s of his truck and of any other lovely looking truck. He lives, breaths his truck. If there is anything unusual on the back he always takes a photo, to add to the album. It also helps with telling our son what daddy has on his trailer, and where he is going with it, as he too is a lorry fanatic.
Mrs T
P.S. If I allow him 5 minutes off of jobs over the weekend he may get time to come on here
Think we or some of us know he’s a driver through and through with all the hard work he’s put into the truck and everything.
I also think that most of us have been keeping an eye out for the truck load or trailer any other info he can give to help let us know.
laptop or anything some low life might try to sell on cheep to make a few xtra quid the more we know the better.
I supose him not being with the truck could have been a god send with the way some drivers have been treated when they’ve had their trucks nicked.
At least he’s safe and in one piece.
I know if and when he gets the truck back it’ll never be the same, just as if someones broken in to ones home you never feel the same about things do you.
Hope you all have a good weekend Mr & Mrs T
Nick
Just to add I’ve bumped it again on the other site .TW.
