Morning all,
I’ve recently been offered a job doing the above. It’s two weeks out at a time and weekend off when I get back.
My question to you guys is what would you expect to take home after tax etc. for the two weeks? From what I can gather its all one hit stuff (fridge) and the truck is a FH XL 520.
I’m in two minds to jump ship from a home every night cushy number to being away again.
Your input would be great.

Some people will do anything (sod the money) for a 520 fh xl. 
If your comfortable on the money your on why would you suddenly want to go to being away for 2 weeks at a time other than trying to be some sort off glory boy.
Give a job earning the same money I am now and home every night, stuff what truck it is and il rip your arm off.

What you on about… All I’ve asked is what kind of money would people expect to be taking home doing this.
I’d take the Spanish job EVERY time.
A lot depends on whether you get paid for being weekended but in general I’d say that would pay about £500 a week after tax and including night-out money.
Including night out money Harry?, that means you would expect around £360 for the job and a rough £20 per night for night out money for 7 nights, I think I would want £500 plus night out money.

Yes, as a rough rule of thumb I’d expect a job such as that to pay about £90 a day (most continental work pays day rate) so five days would be £450 less PAYE and NI.

are you from the south coast or north of scotland , there’s a differance in a days running ■■?
i would go with harry, i expect the job pays £90 a day £20 night out money and no money for being weekeded apart from nightout money…
i would want in my hand £650 ish for the first week and £500ish for the second thats paye.
I put the type of truck because I thought it might make a difference.
Would you want the same money being in a crappy Scania for two weeks?
Personally I’d want a grand a week to compensate for having to drive one.
if i was out for 2 weeks, i’d want to clear 600 per week.
i’m guessing there are not many paying it though?

That’s pretty much in line with what I’d expect. Some people bump their wages up a bit buying cheap Spanish baccy and flogging it when they get back although I couldn’t possibly condone such behaviour.
If the money was good the motor wouldn’t bother me as long as it was reliable.
