I totally agree about the many varied jobs in the haulage industry and I personally would ask if doing a job or route I wasn’t familiar with, but a good example is someone asking would a 14’8 trailer go under a 14’11 bridge, this is the sort of thing I’m talking about.
I always thought those kind of questions and threads are just a bit of lightweight trolling a bit like ‘I wanna be an owner driver…’ To that end I just ignore them.
TNUK is just a truck drivers forum and it can be boring and predictable from time to time (like most truck drivers). So what, exactly is it supposed to be like?

Speaking as a relatively new member but as a user of a few Forums catering for.my interests I have to say there us far more leeway and free speech tolerated here than many other sites. Some of the way some members speak and are spoken to shocks me to be honest, its the kind of approach many would either smack someone in the face for or, get a good kicking themselves. Sometimes I think its better to have the freedom and allow people to find their own perch, other times I think the Mods do what they do so ‘we’ are all on the same peg. I have also notice these sort of topics on other Forums are usually the outspoken word of someone with more going wrong in their life than they’d care to admit but can vent a bit of anger on a piblic forum almost anonymously.
But then what do I know, I’m new so probably don’t know jack!

Please stay away from www.trampdrift.com if this place shocks you, you will need therapy after visiting there, ■■■■■■■ gets thrown around alot on there, this place is way way more civilised than there.

I dont I look in and see if any decent posters have come back.
Its a feedback forum, it helps you get a idea of how to improve this site, my feedback was its a bit dull and quite here , so dont get all snidey or you wil never figure out how to try and get some decent posters !

There isnt a hugh majority of regular posters, the highest posts relate to seeing a lorry on the road somewhere
The decent posters have gone gone and gone , you are clutching at straws somewhat to think you are improving month on month , 3500 visits and 300 odd posts, % doesnt look good , I think bigtruck had a valid point in starting this thread and your figures prove he had a point,
your little jibes at people at the bottom of your list just make you look a little pathetic to be honest,
