Not the Shirley from Howe European■■?

Archie, I’m sure most of us have a story to tell about helping (or trying to help) someone out who was a complete ■■■■■■ :open_mouth:

A mate and I had parked in the car park for the ski lift at Courmayeur, it was a Saturday morning and we’d left Naples Friday, so not the longest of sleeps  anyway this bloke from M&B in Northampton couldn’t get up the slope back to the main road, he was getting into all kinds of funny angles before rolling back and going way beyond the ski lift building to get a run at it, the only problem was the snow was 2ft deep behind the building, so there he stayed for a while, making a right pig’s ear of trying to get moving, he’d only managed to get himself even more stuck. My mate and I wandered over and said he’d need chains or maybe a tow, his reply was not the politest so we left the ignorant ■■■■ to it and went for a Latte Macchiato, he didn’t have a clue how to chain up, so I went over again to offer the services of my 8ft towing bar and got a load more lip off the bloke, so I left my bar bolted to the back of my unit and left the ■■■■ to it :unamused:

I often wondered if he managed to get out before the 10pm lorry ban left him weekended

Never busted a windscreen with a telly, but I’ve done one with one of those big glass Sealink ashtrays that I’d confiscated from a boat, karma I suppose for being a light fingered guttersnipe

Harry,
Just wondering the same, now that would be something.

Ossie

I know he emigrated to Wales…& then to S.Afica. Good lad .tho’.

… or was it Cornwall■■? :unamused:

I carn’t remember the name of that lot, they where from Kent & I remember John Dowdall subbed his Greek loads for them & pulled one of them brown steps, on the tip of my tongue Gilman Gilbert something like. I remember them doing shoes from Italy a lot too, someone will put me out of my misery soon…

I could be wrong but it looks like Gilman European Transport. They ran out of Ashford.

I only did the one trip for them, empty down to Como, through swiss, on red diesel all the way, 1600 litre belly tank ! Then shoes back to Northants.

Hullo Biker,
The Yogi thing was a play on the Owner of Brinor Freight’s name. His name was Manfred Baeure ( I know I’ve spelt it wrong ) but think of it, YOGI Baeure. YOGI BEAR ■■
Cheers, Archie.

Most of them were cow boy outfits.

How do you define a cowboy outfit?

Red diesel and one hits.

Didn’t we all at some time.

Done loads of one hits (for my own purposes, and as for red no!)

Can say hand on heart never did one hits, like my sleep, much safer.
