Hahaha nooooo go to the big shows all good laugh need some more trophies …and yep it has with they spent ages on it with dust and crap from the quarry

Who’s had the old girl then?

No one been parked up all week where you left her

hell fire "the boys " keen as mustard ,

He cleans it after church, Steve.

I’m got 10tonnes of compost on at the moment (and lorry’s full to the top); It’s pouring with rain so if anyone’s free in the Banbury area at about 2pm come to Shutford Road, North Newington…Bring a shovel.

Ex Smiths - now with Prossers, Worcs

Nice to see the old girl’s still around. It can’t do much stone thesedays, as the easysheet’s been taken off. The ■■■■■■■ Power badge (originally nicked from N318 FLL-I put it there) has disappeared too.

D612 PUD. The first Cat powered Foden Smiths bought. The previous B and C reg 8wheelers were Gardner 270 turbos with Eaton Twin Splitters. This was sold shortly after I took this photo.

This one’s especially for TheBoy2010;

Don’t know which keen young driver tarted this one up

Couldn’t possibly say who used to drive this one

The first 3000 Series 6wheeler that Smiths bought; M368 CLR, ■■■■■■■ 275 and new to Len Jackman. This one had very heavy steering.

Another one Len Jackman had new. I had one of the sister motors and it was funny how Lens’ had a better gearchange, yet was noisier than mine.

Found this as a thumbnail but can’t enlarge it without distorting it. I’m sure it’s Trevor Ayers’ old Bison that was relegated to being a welders’ lorry at Ardley quarry.

This old girl could almost touch 60mph before the limiter kicked in…and carried 21t. As it got old though, the tailgate became a PITA to close.

Good number plate that as I always thought Fodens came out of the ■■■■■■■ Ark !! Cheers Dennis.

Or the 911 bit, Dennis; As a relative newbie I’d been on the 3000 series 6w and when it went in for service I did a day on M911 and made a hash of a roundabout in Chipping Norton. I know how Mr Murdoch felt as the Titanic turned

Happen a good job that you were not driving a Sed Ak 400 then Nathan or Chipping Norton would have been wiped off the map, not necessarily a bad thing I guess!

Pete.

Oh yes ! I missed the 911 “bit” altogether !!! Looks like that Foden had the “full house” on it’s plate-------- “Armageddon in New York” followed by a Sunamie flood !!! Cheers Dennis.
