No, we’ve not been taken over! Hansons’ allowed some of their subbies to “find their own work” on Friday, so a couple of theirs were working for us.

I was promoted to this yesterday and this morning (mine in for service). Lovely to drive.

That’s had the same driver from new. I’ve asked about an 8legger before, the V reg ('99) Foden that’s awaiting restoration would be nice

Muckaway:

Altitude spent time on this rather well presented spare, and the next 6wheeler to go at some point.

Missed that post mate, ( old age  ) she’s a lovely old girl to drive.

Dad’s been driving that and said it’s pretty good.

Just had a bath at Bardon Aggs, Kempsford.

For those who can’t read what’s been written on the underside of the tipper…

It took me 2 loads to Cemex to notice that

I think the fitter wrote it while it was over one of the inspection pits, Dave. They had to weld up the nearside wing on the tipper (I didn’t notice it was breaking up) and must’ve noticed the broken weld when writing the message. It gets a laugh on some of the sites I visit so I’ve left it.

It could have been worse, the Fitter could have wrote “Nathans a ■■■■■ !!! Anon1.

Some think that anyway, Dennis…they’re the ones I can wind up easily :smiling_imp:

Had to drive this today after my wagon broke down with an electrical fault and shock horror, I was very impressed with it. I soon got used to the auto 'box (the first one I’ve driven) and found it a very relaxing drive. My first load was a tight(ish) private delivery near Henley on Thames where I had to get through a gateway typically on an angle, and around a tree. The “tortoise mode” felt strange to use but I had no problem with it. The days work was a good test of the Daf as it included long single carriageways, duals and stretches of the M40, and I got 10.3mpg, beating my Foden :open_mouth:

Oh, it had an auto tailgate and air con aswell
