Yep, painfully slow yet again, bordering on torturous. 
Am I noticing a drop in site traffic and posts? (no doubt Dave will come on and prove me wrong

If so are people trying to get on, waiting about and eventually saying ‘Sod this’.
I dip in and out of this site most days on and off frequently, and it’s got to the stage where it is slower more often than it isn’t.

Dial Up? We used to be kept up late at night dreaming of getting dial-up…
I remember when some modems, the better-working ones - used to have a red triangle on them, banning them by law from being connected to the BT network… “Bell Tones” (The American System) if enabled on a modem - were enough to get that modem banned as well. 
This is what I used to make on-line posts back in 1985…

More time than not I give up whilst waiting for the site to load and I’m sure there’s many more that do the same.
There’s definitely a drop in traffic on the site, no doubt because of the time the forum takes to load.

I give up regularly. I have a short attention span.
Sometimes i get on and give up trying to load a topic.
Other times i don’t even make it onto the site. Very slow.

Yep, one day comparatively flying, now back to sodding normal. I had to have a shave while I waited for this to to work. 
Maybe it is node and server issues at the far end?
Other posting boards can be a bit slow at present as well, such as newspapers…
BBC works fine meanwhile, so how about the suggestion that the server powers that be are deliberately bandwidth throttling non BBC sites so we all get brainwashed into thinking that “no way can we do without the always-working BBC site”…?

OK, we’ve tracked down a big reason for TruckNet loading slowly and this morning we put a fix in place for it. I’d be interested to know if you are seeing an improvement now. It’s still not the quickest site in the world, but hopefully load times are now closer to five seconds than ten!
There are some other smaller improvements we’ve identified so we will work through those too.
And just to say thanks for all the feedback you leave in this forum - it does get seen and passed on.
No improvement here. 
Just confirmed it with Pingdom… 8.5 seconds to load the index. I ran some other forums I use through it and they all load in around a second.

It’s now a bit of a mixture, sometimes a bit faster and others just as bad. Not too bad at the moment, but it is downhill all the way to me.
