Think Bike... I hate this slogan

Carryfast:
The camera also shows that he drives to close to the car in front and you’ve only got to look at the way the bus and the cars going in the opposite direction approached that blind 90 degree bend to see the way that east europeans drive. :open_mouth:  :laughing:It that car which he was following had braked suddenly,or if there’d been another bus going in the opposite direction in front of the cars,as the other bus came round that bend, the resulting nose to tail shunt,or head on crash, would probably have prevented the one between the car and the bike which happened a bit further down the road. :open_mouth:

Oh yeah. As in Britain, off course, everyone leave the gap of 2 miles from the preceding vehicles when they drive in 20 mph zone… That’s why you don’t have crashes here :stuck_out_tongue:P

They probably have’nt got the new edition of the highway code there yet, since the Russian one, which would tell them that it takes 20 feet at 20 mph before you can even react to something that stops in front and it did’nt even look like he’d left himself that much let alone the braking distance in addition. But you’re right we do have crashes here but they’re usually caused by Brits who drive like Poles.

I just watched the exact same manouvre from a bike today. How he never got hit i’ll never know. Two cars back driving on the backlights of the car in front of him, the cars slow down for the guy in front indicating right and the bikes just sails past them. If he’d of been hit i’d of been the first to comeforewards as a witness  Can’t be doin’ with bad drivers who whinge no one looks out for them.

Our Highway code at least managed to notice that the whole civilised world is using SI units :stuck_out_tongue:

But in this context it just proves that the old Imperial units of measurement go together with good driving standards because the reaction distance in feet matches the speed in MPH.  And the world’s last super power still uses imperial units so they can still probably understand the dangers of tailgating better than the Russians can.

By the way Orys was the bloke on the Bike a Russian or a German by any chance because that might explain it and that’s why the clip does’nt include the laughter afterwards.
