Just to satisfy the pedantic ■■■■■ in me, you can not have a go at someone for not writing the true facts you proclaim and then write something which is also unconformed to better your case.
Personally I have been respectful throughtout this thread and my dealings with yourself.
It’s interesting that the PDU and your campaigning has closed down/stopped twice now, identified by yourself as a lack of uptake resulted by others. Didn’t know that.
For someone who wants to be the mouth piece for drivers, you seem ready to give up too eagerly on anyone who asks questions you don’t like.
Don’t worry I know that out of everyone on here then you have public acknowledged the fact that you are ignoring my points because it doesn’t not suit your agenda.
Oh and thanks for FINALLY giving some figures to the members count.
Loose yen to gain three. So if my maths are correct that would be a nett loss of seventy percent for over a years work and campaigning.

Sorry its a bit late but straight forward question which will hopefully gain an answer.
Have you ever purchased (or pirated) a book or attended an event entitled (or similar) “how to make money from the internet”?.
This needs clearing up as these type of freely available self help guides often promote the types of activity you have tried repeatedly over time. This alone seems to bring about a lot of the suspicion you get from people who have clearly read the same rubbish. The fact you fall at the first step of gaining a following is clearly down to your personality not being suited to the inspection (often personal) the openess the web offers (well done Rikki for allowing this to continue). The fact you keep failing at the first hurdle then trying to start again without people noticing is looking a bit desperate.
If you were truly doing this for non commercial reasons membership would be free (as it is here). The cost could be covered by some subtle advertising and sponsorship.

eh ? I’m not trying to ridicule, don’t be so daft. I don’t have facts, thats why i’m asking. What i can see is that people generally do not participate in your forum anymore, you used to have a small community and following, now you don’t. I can see that with my own eyes. I’m asking you, why, why is that ? Why have you lost the small following you had, there is no activity there ? This i feel is something you should address.

As with a lot of forums (this being an exception) most have lost a lot of ongoing activity due to the growth in other Media outlets like FB and Twitter.
Still some casual banter and fun of which you cannot see after being banned from there some years ago for uncivil behaviour and insults to other members, still Rikki puts up with you even though you also insult members on here

Personally I think it’s insulting to ask for a “Q&A” session if you are not prepared to answer the very basic questions going
Can you convince me as to why I should join? As if you do eventually change some of the issues like dcpc and parking, non members will gain just the same as those paying the membership
As for the finacial side, you could be opening yourself up to allegations of fraud if not set up correctly with proper audited accounting. Surley the questions asked have been reasonable as you are asking people to part with money for no guarenteed outcome. As i pointed out above, pay £5 be a member and possibly gain the changes or keep it in your pocket and still possibly gain the benifit of any changes.

Has it ever been about answering questions. By not answering all questions directly (how hard is that anyway) it has been proven that this is a stunt to generate PR and new members for Barries business enterprise. As such has it reached the point where it is becoming an advert and should be removed.

All those members and only a few drivers posting. That is fact not a lie I can name them if you like to prove it.
Here is a very simple question very easy to answer. Why when you decided to stop campaigning did you decide to start over again? I think we all would like to know the answer to that.
Are you one a day off today or using your employers time to sit on your computer replying to questions another simple question.
Truckersworld… How many members did you have? How many requested and got a refund?
PDU - how many current members do you have, having paid £5? How many have left since joining?

barrie - I got to page 5 and got bored so skipped to here.
to me it seems you want ‘all drivers’ to stick together but anyone who doesn’t follow or toe the line is instantly classed as a trouble maker - this in turn makes me think the PDU is more cult than anything.
strength in numbers even with troublemakers is far better than as someone else pointed out ignoring 70 out of every 100 drivers (lets be honest drivers like to moan and be devils advocate), to me you have an idea no real strategy or allowing of anyone else to become part of the PDU other than a member who gets the occasional email or letter etc.
a strong leader should not be worried about being over thrown if they do a good job.
my own opinion from this is what you want to achieve is a good idea, there seems to be very little input allowed from others, almost like a child with a ball if you don’t get the right team or right answers your off home. best of luck with it and no doubt you will class me in the same vein as others but personally the members make any organisation if you only allow sheep to follow you it will end in ridicule, embrace the views of others, recognise you may be going the wrong way about certain things or at least be honest rather than a spoiled child.
